Today I went to preview the new Menswear and Womenswear collection during London Fashion Week Men’s over the weekend for Belstaff Spring Summer 2020 Travelogue in Hoxton Docks East London. I always rather look forward to each season because I admire the contemporary take on the brands history by Belstaff’s Creative Director Lehnhardt-Moore where he captures the imagination of the labels industrial heritage.
For this season the inspiration is drawn from the original archive where travel and exploring remain at the heart of the brands aesthetics hence the self title of the new collection Travelogue.
Fine details in the collection were kept contemporary with use of contrasts such as juxtaposing textures and colours between soft and hard where the contrast provide the essential look for a modern wardrobe.
Signatures pieces that inspired this seasons collection were the sleevless Castmaster cotton fishing jacket in orange from the archive in orange dry waxed cotton vs khaki version retains sleeves of the original and the XL500 Nautical Jacket from the nineteen seventies was re-imagined in Oxford Nylon.
Themes in the collection explore the influence of military is evident in the use of deep English rifle green and the newly introduced camo tech fabric.
With this in mind Belstaff have catered to those who love to travel and explore with key looks such as a battered safari jacket is teamed with raw Ecru denim, while new adventure print show line drawn illustrations applied to a rayon shirt for women and linen version for men.
I really liked the luxury fine knits and oiled suede polish up the look, contrast with sun faded pique shirts and sweatshirts for men and women.
Lastly, to finish off the look for the modern man and woman trooper boots in brown leather and canvas, along with a chukka boots with commando sole in suede and stonewashed cross body canvas bags with leather trims give edge to the collection this spring summer 2020 collection.

I have always aspired to travel more and fashion has always inspired me to do just that whether it’s flying abroad to attend International Fashion Weeks for the shows you would be surprised to find out that both have a strong connection to one another.

It was great to see a selection of Milda’s style picks during her presentation at the Devonshire Club in partnership with Connect Jets. My favourite items to covet on my wish list had to be the Globe Trotter suitcase luggage which has been on my must have items to own just because they are understated classic luxury.
From the avant-garde futuristic air steward outfits of the nineteen sixties to the glamour of Virgin Atlantic air hostesses to this present day style itself represents aspiration that has played an integral role of pioneering fashion in aviation which began with Italian Fashion House Emilio Pucci.

The other day I took my first visit to my local Jo Malone store during a casual stroll in town as you do to seek the perfect gift for some inspiration. I was astonished to find here a selection for Men’s Grooming, Women’s Beauty to Gender Neutral Products namely fragrances which I was very tempted to try out while inside the store.
I’ve always heard great things about The Jo Malone Brand as it’s very quintessentially British and one of my favourite luxury products as an alternative to designer fragrances. We all have our favourite signature fragrances when it comes to scents that feel almost personal to us when we wear them on our skin.
I could spend all afternoon here trying on every invigorating scent that captivates my interest till I find the one for me or someone else as a gift, because we all like to indulge and be spoiled from time to time.
So, if you’re not all familiar with Jo Malone London let me give you a little bit of background into this iconic British Brand and what makes it so unique.
Jo Malone is a British perfume and scented candle brand founded in 1983. Since 1999 it has been owned by Cosmetics giant Estee Lauder. This luxury brand is synonymous for its high end perfumes. Luxury candles, bath products and room scents.
An interesting fact about the brand is that they appointed English Model and Musician Karen Elson and Model and Actress Poppy Delevingne who have served as spokesperson for the brand.
The fragrance I decided to choose this time round had to be the Honeysuckle & Davana Cologne from the Jo Malone Fragrances which is sweet , not too overpowering and just right with its fresh scented aroma’s can also be Unisex. It’s very versatile and feel I can wear this cologne day in, day out as it’s very alluring when people have commented on the scent’s smell the first time I wore it.
Incase, you’re wondering to know what’s the main ingredients’ of the fragrance are; it evokes the wildness of honeysuckle, fresh tone of rose together with the aromatic fruity twist of davana and woody with Moss warmed by sunshine which I was instantly obsessed with.
For me, it had to be the hints of liquorice that’s very suttle in sweetness brings to life a fragrance that’s light and ideal for daytime or evening.
Which reminds me that I need to try next the Huntsman x Jo Malone range which is on my wish list just in time for Christmas.
