Hey guys, hope your enjoying most of the weather outdoors this summer despite the odd one or two days of slight rain showers in between sunnier intervals. But, indefinitely its been great so far in terms of sporting event days out with all the excitement and focus recently on the AIG Womens Open 2023 I attended courtesy of Sustainable Lifestyle brand Bluewater Group.(Ad pr)

Bluewater the Swedish based innovator of world leading sustainable purification and beverage solutions for use at home, work and play were at hand to provide purified hydration water stations on demand to the many golf fans visiting the AIG Womens Open at Englands renowned Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey between the 9th to 13th August.

aig women's open 2023The Bluewater ‘Wall of Water’ is one of the biggest water dispensers in the world and a favourite hydration oasis at the 2023 AIG Women’s Open.

aig women's open 2023I think for sporting fans alike its important to always keep hydrated throughout your daily routine when out and about. Bluewater has equipped nine various locations across the iconic Walton Heath Championship venue with its pioneering water purification and dispensing solutions to promote sustainability.

It was my 1st time ever attending the iconic AIG Women’s Open where I got to watch some great pro golf unfold on the grass course to exploring the spectator’s festival village for fun activities all in a great day out.

aig women's open 2023

The views of the golf course from the grandstand were the best seats in the house to catch all the live action in between the Tee Times which start as early at 06:30am in the morning till the late afternoon.

aig women's open 2023

Even if you don’t get there from early as 7am when the gates open to the public there’s still plenty of time to plan and enjoy your day as the event finishes around 8pm. There’s even the added convenience of a complimentary shuttle between Redhill station and the event venue which runs every 30 mins with journey time of 15-20 mins. But bear in mind on peak days like weekends it can sometimes get slightly busier at certain times, so plan your journey accordingly.

A key highlight of Bluewater’s success was the Wall of Water installation in the main Spectators Festival Village, fully branded in the championships own vibrant visual identity that featured a 55” high bright TV screen with customisable digital content for fan engagement.

aig women's open 2023

It was really impressive to try out on the day where Bluewater’s Wall of Water feature provided unlimited communication opportunities with a firm sustainability focus specially developed for the worlds leading events and venues. I really admire how the technology combines a mass drinking water dispensing solution with a unique brand activation platform. I was even lucky enough to get my hands on a limited Edition Bluewater x AIG Women’s Open 2023 re-fillable water bottle as a souvenir from the event. The water itself taste ever so clean than I’ve ever tried before compared to a conventional bottle of drinking water was remarkable.

Do you think the concept of illuminating use of plastic bottles at event venues is the way forward to conserve our planet for future generations to come. If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts if you think this will encourage others to live more sustainably on raising awareness of cleaning up our oceans. This also includes improving sanitation of clean water that’s safe to drink for everyone in order to live a healthier lifestyle.

Bluewater has set its sights on being the world’s most ECO-friendly beverage company by innovating disruptive water purification technologies for home, work, and play. Providing drinking water generated and distributed at the point of use, combined with reusable stainless steel and glass bottles. Bluewater is helping to break the norm of single-use plastic bottles and their unnecessary, polluting transportation. Bluewater products are available to consumers, hotel and catering operations, and event and venue organizations in Europe, the USA, the UK, China, South-East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Bluewater has been honored with two Fast Company World Changing Ideas Awards, a K&B Kitchen Innovation of the Year Award, and has also been recognized for its sustainability efforts by numerous other publications.

A VIP-DAY WITH CHINAWHITE LONDON AT THE HENLEY ROYAL REGATTA

This is your sign to Book a Boat ride excursion this Summer in Henley on Thames

Chinawhite Henley

Legendary Party Chinawhite Returns to the Henley for 2023, bringing Great Food, Bars and Entertainment with International Headline DJ’s to the Royal Regatta

Just recently, we attended a fun day out to catch all the live action of the annual prestigious rowing event on the riverbanks of Henley on Thames for Henley Royal Regatta. Have you been before, would love to hear about your experiences of attending the Regatta and did you enjoy it and which part did you love the most?

HOW TO SPEND THE DAY AT HENLEY

(Gifted Experience) This year’s Regatta for me was quite a special occasion I’ll never forget just because I was invited as a VIP guest by renowned nightclub brand Chinawhite London to host me for the day. I just couldn’t say no and it was a fantastic opportunity to kick start my summer in style for sporting events. Who doesn’t love to get all dressed up for race days.

Chinawhite Henley

So, my day begins waking up bright and early just because there were disruptions with trains that morning which is common over the summer period on strike days. I found this quite annoying, but you just get on with it and plan your day and travel itinerary. Also, plus the added stress of traveling to and from home to your destination so always leave extra time to plan your journey.

Chinawhite Henley

Welcome to Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire

So after I set off from home to Henley on Thames by train, 2.5 hours later I arrive at Henley Station to meet friends and could not wait for all the excitement and celebrations to begin.

Chinawhite Henley

Chinawhite Henley

Chinawhite Henley

I think the best time to arrive in Henley is 12 midday at least then you can relax and have a spot of lunch by the river before enjoying the rest of your day. After an enjoyable lunch and drinks at The Angel on the bridge pub we had booked a boat ride as a group with boat charter company One Atlantek to arrange pick up and drop off at our enclosure for Chinawhite Henley.

Experience local Regatta Traditions Aboard a Boat to get closer to all the Elite Rowing Action with your own private charter

For me, the private boat charter ride was the best part as you really felt included in all the traditional aspects of the Regatta amongst local residents and visitors.

Chinawhite Henley

My friends and I rather enjoyed watching all the live action of the races from afar on the other side of the river as we sipped champagne from our flutes to watch the day go by passing the official Stewards Enclosure’s race start line.

I highly recommend booking a boat ride just because it’s very stylish to arrive in style to your enclosure this way, plus the added bonus not having to walk from Henley Bridge all the way down the riverbank is at least a good 25 mins.

The Only Way to Travel in Style during the Regatta is by Boat

Chinawhite Henley

So once you are done with your boat ride excursion it’s almost time to head into your pre-booked private enclosure at Henley Royal Regatta. As soon as our boat dropped us off at the Chinawhite Henley Enclosure at Temple Island it was time to check in at the Press VIP Area. Then, immediately greeted by our friendly hostess and waiter who took us to our table in the secluded VIP area tent. There’s was not much of a wait at all to get inside and to our astonishment we found out the nightclub had offered us a very generous bar tab to our surprise was even better, plus food tokens to enjoy our day. We were extremely well looked after by their staff and the service was second to none and really impressed with this years venue.

Our VIP Chinawhite Experience

Inside our VIP tent we were treated to entertainment such as dance performances with snakes omg and excellent table service which included bottles of Moet Champagne and drink mixers much to our delight. Even though the weather was slightly overcast with clouds, we did enjoy the few spells of sunshine throughout the day. But, most importantly I was there to create some social media video content of my experience, so we took some lovely pictures outside with a view overlooking the river behind in our regatta attire. From this point the races had started to wind down and it was time to nibble on some dinner from the food kiosk in our enclosure, so went with a burger and curly fries for my main meal.

Chinawhite Henley

Chinawhite Henley

After dinner it was time to hit the dance floor and do a bit more exploring and mingling with the crowd for the after party in the main nightclub marquee. The vibe was high octane glamour, minimal white interiors with drapes which transported you to Ibiza, St Tropez or Mykonos for a summer of fun. The energy in the nightclub was very lively as we danced to TOP 40 tunes by Chinawhite’s Resident Special Guest DJ’s as the main headliner to close Henley in style.

We also, did a bit of Celeb spotting as we noticed there were a few A-lister’s to a mixture of Reality TV stars attending as VIP’s for the event. The VIP Tent was handy when we wanted to take a break from the nightclub and just relax on our table for the evening over some quiet drinks for a moment of peace. Overall, my experience of the Chinawhite Henley enclosure has always been a pleasant experience even on previous visits other years I’ve attended and would highly recommend booking this enclosure at Henley Royal Regatta. If you love headline DJ Artist performances in an intimate and sophisticated setting then this is your sign to think about booking this enclosure for next years Regatta, just because it’s epic.

Not forgetting there’s a curfew in Henley, as most enclosure venue shut around 12:00 past midnight. But, I almost make sure I leave slightly earlier before then to catch a train to London via Reading as you don’t want to get stuck. Perhaps stay overnight is an option to consider just in case you miss the last train.

Eventually when our evening ended it was time to head home. We arranged another pick up from our boat charter guys who gave us a lift back to the Angel on the bridge pub moorings which is a short walking distance from Henley station. It was such a relief getting a lift back in the boat as I was so tired from a long day, but it was all totally worth it and can’t wait to come back again next year. So stay tuned for me Henley content on our socials so you can follow along with us. Oh, wait I think we are back again next week for Henley Festival, and I heard it’s a Black Tie only event very decadent and discerning, so I’ll see you soon shortly.

Which social event are you most looking forward to for the summer season?

Chinawhite Henley

Here Are My Top Things to do at Henley Royal Regatta to join in the fun! next time you’re here…

5 REASONS YOU NEED A BOAT IN YOUR LIFE – IS IT A GOOD INVESTMENT?

Should I buy a boat right now, as Summer is the perfect time to explore the UK's waterways and even hire a Boat charter for the Day

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: , 3min read493 views

Many people dream about owning a boat at least once in their life. While you may think that it is an unrealistic or impractical solution, it’s more accessible than you think.

Furthermore, there are many reasons why boating will improve your quality of life and become a great investment. Here are just five you need to know.

Boating is great way to make you fitter

There are many ways to potentially improve your fitness, from gym workouts to playing team sports. However, boating is undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable ways to get fitter without overexertion. Better still, it won’t even feel like a workout as your mind will be focused on the fun. Adjusting sails, lifting anchors, and navigating the water on your vessel will work several muscle groups. Crucially, they are muscles that you probably don’t use as often as you’d like in daily life.

If you plan to get on the water with water sports too, this will take the results to greater heights.

The sea air is great for you

In addition to making you physically fitter, boating is great for your general health. Time spent at sea with the fresh air is a welcome break from the pollution of city life. As well as supporting your respiratory health, the calmness of the waters will deliver peace of mind. Furthermore, a day at sea is likely to help you sleep better at night, which will naturally deliver a plethora of benefits. In truth, this is one of the hidden rewards of boating that encourages frequent trips.

Boating is truly great for the mind, body, and soul. If you’re keen to adopt a healthier lifestyle, buying a boat will serve you well.

reasons to buy a boat

Boats are cheaper than you think

While many people love the thought of boat ownership, many resist the urge due to perceived costs. While they do depreciate by around 20% in the first five years, half of that comes from year one. Buying a boat that’s two years old, for example, will overcome this issue. Moreover, dry stack boat storage is an affordable way to reduce your maintenance needs. This is because you’ll protect the asset from weather damage. In turn, you can get years of enjoyment from it without losing big money.

Compared to other luxuries, the financial aspects of boat ownership are actually quite pleasing.

The social elements are amazing

Nothing in this life is more important than doing things you like with the people you love. When you have a boat, there will never be a shortage of adventures. A day spent with friends and family exploring the waters will bring magical moments. Whether it’s fishing, water sports, or just cruising the sea doesn’t matter. These are the memories that you will treasure for life, which makes boating the best hobby in the world. The activities are unique compared to anything you can do on land too.

Furthermore, there will be opportunities to join the thriving boating community. This can develop new friendships for life.

You’ll regret not doing it

Finally, you don’t want to look back and think “if only”. If buying a boat has been a dream of yours, now is the time to do it.

REASONS WHY I’M THINKING ABOUT RELOCATING TO THE COUNTRYSIDE IN FUTURE VS CITY LIFE

Here's What You Need to Know If You Want To Live In The Country...

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 3min read852 views

Living in the country is many people’s dream, and it is a wonderful place to be. The fresh air and beautiful views are fantastic, and they can make you feel hugely positive and happy – often more so than if you were in a busy city, for example.

However, if you are thinking of moving to the countryside and you’ve never lived in a rural place before, there are some things you’ll need to consider. You’ll want to be as prepared as possible, because as lovely as the countryside is, it isn’t always an easy place to live. Read on to find out what you’re going to need

A Vehicle

Something that can sometimes come as a surprise to people who are moving to the countryside for the first time is just how much they are going to need a car to be able to make the most of their life there. Although there will be public transport, it might be that the nearest bus stop or train station is a long way from your house, and it would often be just as quick to drive yourself. Of course, there will be cabs available, but because of the potentially long distances involved, this could become expensive.

If you are going to live in the countryside, the best thing to do is to learn to drive and start looking at the best cars to enjoy your time in a rural area. Although you might initially think that a 4×4 would be the best option, it could be that Jaguar cars are better – they’ll be more comfortable for many people, resulting in you being more likely to want to use the car and take advantage of the opportunities around you.

Good Wifi

In today’s world, having a fast and reliable internet connection is crucial. Many people work from home and therefore need to be connected to the internet at all times, but even if you don’t work from home, you’ll still want to be able to go online when you choose to and not have to use up all the data on your phone because you can’t get a connection.

Unfortunately, many rural areas do still have a problem with this, and you might find that your internet is slow. It’s best to know about this before you move into an area that has this issue so that you can be prepared and put measures in place to combat the problem from the start. This could include opting for wired internet or perhaps investing in additional boosters to help make the signal stronger.

A Good Community

We know that the countryside is a lovely place to live, but it is potentially a lonely place. There is less to do than in a busy city or town, especially in the evenings, and even if you live with other people, it can become isolating.

This is why living somewhere with a good community that means this won’t be so likely to happen is important. This community might be made up of neighbours, local businesses, or groups that share similar interests, like a sports team. You might even find support online, but of course, you’ll need a good wifi signal to make the most of this.

Did you know The Jockey Club is Home to 15 of the best racecourses in Britain including Sandown Park, the Randox Grand National, Cheltenham Festival and The Derby.

For me going to the races is a bit like going to fashion week where style and glamour take centre stage is just as important as the horse racing sport itself. Each year I look very forward to attending some sporting events in the English Social Calendar just because it’s become an annual tradition for myself and my friends to get together while enjoying a thrilling day of excitement at the races.

It goes without saying that any sportswear is not permitted under any circumstances and don’t even think about turning up in a morning suit, full tuxedo or any suiting that bright including patterns. Play it safe, but still sophisticated and opt for summer hues in pastels instead. Most importantly, breathable fabrics are most suitable for this period of the new spring / summer racing season. LOUIS POMMERY ENGLAND PRIVATE LUNCHEON TO CELEBRATE THE HARVEST AT PINGLESTONE ESTATE

Tasting The Award Winning Louis Pommery England Brut 1st English Sparkling Wine from a Champagne House

Louis Pommery

Pinglestone Estate is a 40-hectare site where chalk is the main element, it’s made of 30 hectares of vineyard to date, planted between 2017 and 2019.  Planted in 2017 and 2018 what you will discover here this Vineyard produces internationally renowned grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier the same found in Champagne.

Whilst these vines have been establishing themselves over the past few years, Vranken-Pommery released its first English sparkling wine of it’s kind. Louis Pommery England has sourced the grapes mainly from Hampshire. The award-winning Louis Pommery England is the first English sparkling wine from a champagne house to date.

Louis Pommery
A tour of Pinglestone Estate Vineyard with Clément Pierlot, Vranken Pommery’s Cellar Master

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF LOUIS POMMERY
Sparkling Wine made in Hampshire, England. Created with Maison Pommery and Launched in 2018

Clément Pierlot, Vranken Pommery’s Cellar Master has this to say on the decision to plant in Hampshire:

“We think there is something very special here in Hampshire. The quality of the wines, the quality of the chalk – something that reminds us of Champagne. But there is something very particular in the wines that we can find only here – the acidity and the tension of course very linked to the region”.

Just recently, I spent the day with Louis Pommery England Vranken Team, Clement Pierlot Cellar Master and James Boweman Vineyard Manager for an exclusive tour of the Vineyards at Pingleston Estate in Celebration of their 2021 Harvest on site. The main highlight of my press visit was I really very much enjoyed tasting the Louis Pommery England Brut during the Private Luncheon which was so exceptional that I took some great pictures of the sumptuous cuisine served as we dinned in a 15th Century old barn on the Pingleston Estate.

Louis Pommery

Even more so, the beautiful weather made it feel like I was in Reims even though it was Hampshire just stones throw away on my doorstep. While I was there at the vineyard, I was rather enjoying picking the internationally renowned grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Meunier. It was a unique fantastic experience earning my lunch at the Louis Pommery England Harvest and out of all the vineyards I’ve visited, this in fact was my first time picking some grapes for real.

“A Grape Day for the 2021 Harvest at Pinglestone Estate. From the fruit of the vine, this sparkling wine is the result of Pommery’s quest for elegance and freshness”

Louis Pommery
The Private Intimate Harvest Luncheon with Louis Pommery England

Here’s a bit of background into the The Louis Pommery England Sparkling Wine project which started in 2015 as I got a brief introduction from Clement the in house Cellar Manager who discussed that the idea was to create a wine estate so it’s a long term project.

It is known that Pommery spent months and years scouting to find a great place that was ideal vision for the brand we associate with today as Champagne with its longstanding heritage. In 2016 Pommery brought the land here in Hampshire, so it was great pleasure to see it with my own eyes with a view of Its 40 acres up on the hill. They wanted to create very good wines so they purchased grapes in the beginning in 2014, 2015 to start to produce wines from Hampshire as sparkling wine from England.

Louis Pommery

”These aromatic notes follow through and are heightened on the plate, offering a beautiful balance and a rich harmony

MADE IN ENGLAND WITH PASSION, TASTE AND ART – THE ART OF SPARKLING
On the nose, you will find aromas of white fruits, mostly pear and then vine peach. A tasting pleasure for your tastebuds. The bubbles and effervescence are expressed wonderfully.

Louis Pommery England – An Art which mixes precision and Tradition

I think there is something very special here in Hampshire the taste of the wine. You may remember Pommery from Champagne, because it’s the same soil with the same finesse in the wine. But I learnt it’s something very particular in the wines that you can find only here as a fruit. I’m referring to the quality of the fruit is very particular, the acidity and the tension is linked to the region. In 1874 the incredible quest began when the very first bottles Brut Nature were resting in the cellars of Domain Pommery. Today, Louis Pommery England is developed according to a completely classic and traditional method based on the internationally renowned grape varieties that are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Meunier.

Award Winning Wines – Make Everything a Celebration!

A few years back Pommery England started to make the sparkling wine in 2015 and step by step so the blend they wanted to do was not easy because for non vintage sparkling wine they had to create a collection wiser wine. So in the beginning you will taste 2017 base. 2016 was the first real blend, but Pommery have managed everything from the wiser wines, the wine making process etc. In 2017, the blend with wiser wines we have 10percent. Year 2016 and 2017 the ways in which Pommery as a Luxury Brand are proud is where they have won gold medals in 2016 and 2017 also so they are very happy with these award winning wines produced.

The idea was to make wines with the same blend, but what will be on the Estate Vineyard is based on the Chardonnay and the planting of Pingleton Estate is a based on Chardonnay its mainly from this. You will be astonished to know Its more than 50 percent of chardonnay in the blend so you will see this in Pingleston Estate. The idea to purchase grapes that are very close from the Estate with the same blend but what Pommery have in the estate. Other grapes found on the Estate apart from Chardonnay are Pinot Noir and Meunier the same as champagne. They also have pinot gris so Pommery’s harvest day falls on 15th October is very special because I actually got to pick these grapes as a guest at the vineyard during my visit. Pomerys Cellar Master Clemont was curious what can produce pinot gris here in Hampshire and its going pretty well so far.

Louis Pommery
James Bowreman Vineyard Manager, Louis Pommery England Pinglestone Vineyard

I had a really pleasant and enjoyable time on a jolly jaunt to the vineyard which is very close to the offices. You will see during the point that I am on a special site because Pommery have chosen it for different reasons due to the altitude of the site is very low for the ripeness, the shelter of the site too. For that reason, its because the idea of the UK have oceanic influence such as strong winds to making this a main priority from beginning to find a very well sheltered site.

When I look beneath my feet I can see the chalk that this vineyard is based on. According to the Vineyard Manager James this has been dug out and put on top, but what you will see across the site is about 20 to 30 cm of top soil. Straight into New Haven and Seaford Chalk which is about 80 million years old the chalk seam that runs through Hampshire and this gives the land superb draining for the soil. In this case, its so typical what we always experience in England which is the rain we can find that this site dries extraordinary quickly. So within 24 hours, maybe 48 hours I can work back onto the site and so there is no moisture retained in the soil which is good news for the vines being a Mediterranean kind of plant which really wants a dry soil and dry roots with lots of sunshine.

I discovered across the site during my visit to the vineyard you start on the west facing side and to the east. What we have is a hill with the wood on top and around the wood there is a 360 degree aspect for vineyards, so there are vines planted on a south west side, vines planted south facing, and vines planted east facing. James, mentioned in the UK over the last 15 years sometimes the east facing slopes tend to do better, sometimes the west is really dependant on the climate and as you know its really changeable in the UK. One of the biggest challenges Pommery faces is rising into the changes of the climate, so they are very pleased in some years the western side will produce riper fruit in a different expression. Although in other years will see the same result on the eastern side.

This will be the first Pingleston Estate grown wine. Its really interesting actually, I’ve learnt a lot about wine in terms of the soil and the environment to help it grow so you get a decent wine produced at the end of it. From what I’ve gathered from my visit to the Pingleston Estate Vineyard is the importance that you don’t get any splash while harvesting the wine and secondly the issue concerning the bacteria, moisture control of the environment and met with some really interesting people today to give me a better insights of the wine producing business.

Louis Pommery

Having spent the day with Pommery England I’m so keen to want improve my knowledge about wine so it’s good to know there is something like this on my doorstep within easy reach of the home counties and London. I had the most fabulous Harvest Lunch on the Pinglestone Estate post grape picking and vineyard tour courtesy of Clement, James and the Pommery Vranken team and a chance to try the delicious Louis Pommery England Brut of course. I felt the wine also really complimented the cuisine served which was a sumptuous Autumnal Salad as Starter, followed by the Main Slow cooked pork cheek with apricots, pine nuts and bean puree to the most divine desert ever a Burnt Basque cheesecake which was so delightful to taste for my first time. Enjoy Louis Pommery England with Cheese, Grilled Meats or Vegetarian Dishes when paired together would also be great to host a dinner party, so sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of Louis Pommery England. Always something to Celebrate, expect nonetheless from this very forthright and bold wine that is traditionally perfect and the most delightful crowd pleaser with England’s finest sparkling wine.
