Sustainable fashion has been at the focus of the apparel and clothing industry recently and it’s heartening to see the brand Naeco producing their sunglasses using repurposed plastic bottles from our oceans.

The Deep Connection with the Ocean is Naeco’s DNA, and Founder Zak chose to be a business that reduces waste, recycles and makes a difference.

It’s quite astonishing how their approach to pioneer eco textiles makes for a stylish design and investing in products like these will help secure cleaner oceans for future generations to come.

Just 5 percent of plastics are recycled effectively while 40 percent end up in the landfill and a third in fragile ecosystems such as the world’s oceans.

Much of the remainder is burned. Did you know, at least 8m tonnes of plastics leak into the oceans – which is the equivalent of dumping the contents of one rubbish truck into the ocean every minute.

Treat Yourself and the Planet Better

Naeco is the proud winner of the DHL Fashion Potential Award 2019. Their new website and Trident Sunglasses collection has just landed and I can’t wait to tell you what they have been working on. So far there are jackets, blazers and other garments all made from recycled plastic in signature super soft fabrics.

Sunglasses

The sunglasses range also come in a gloss or matt finish for a luxurious feel, contemporary and made to last.

I just couldn’t wait to do a try on at home for the new collection of Unisex sunglasses designed to suit the face of both men and women including the exceptional high workmanship to the high end German hinges ensure they stay on your head in all situations – even the roughest of weather conditions too.

The Ocean is in Our Hands

The sunglasses range also come in a gloss or matt finish for a luxurious feel, contemporary and made to last. When I was asked to model a new sunglasses range for Naeco of course I said yes absolutely 100 percent. Why? Not only because they are a luxury product, and who doesn’t adore something well made and long lasting.

They have a few different styles but the wayfarers were my favourite just because they are light weight and very comfortable. It’s maybe it’s something to do with the German engineered frame is spot on and very versatile to wear whether sailing the highs or poolside lounging.

Most importantly this is a British Brand that is working hard to make a difference and help clean up the planet. Also, during the pandemic we must do our utmost best to support small business and new start up to get the economy going in Britain.

What have you done today to save our oceans? Let’s use less single-sue plastic and together we can solve this huge issue. It’s time to Support the cause and become an Ocean Guardian. Get yours today! Find more on Naeco just here

It makes me think of Hotel du Cap Eden Roc. Imagine this – where you can plunge into the spirit of the French Riviera through the taste of Cap Gin.

As far as I know, Cap Gin is made on the shores of the Mediterranean and the spirit of the Côte d’Azur reflects that of the glamorous stylish lifestyles lived in Cannes, Nice to Monaco.

Since lockdown happened in Britain amid the Covid 19 pandemic people are still reluctant to make vacation plans as only most recently restrictions are slowly being lifted with the opening of some hotels, bars and restaurants. I’d like to hear you’re thoughts on this or are you still in favor of entertaining at home to feel safe until this situation settles a bit.

Best Gin

CAP Gin Le Esprit de la Côte France

Although I’m still hesitant for making social plans, I support staying in and drinking can still be fun with great company with sumptuous cocktails to get you into the summer party spirit. I thought this period was very unusual to spend time at home with all major sporting events to music festivals cancelled it seems vacations abroad are nonexistent. So why not bring the Cote d’Azur Lifestyle to me instead.

The Distinct CAP Gin’s formulation was produced  in collaboration with Dr David Clutton PHD a former Technical Director at Diageo who also processed the distillation of Bombay Sapphire Gin.

This week I’m discovering and getting to know Cap Gin from the South of France that features botanicals inspired by the French Riviera with mimosa flowers, rose, and orange blossom sourced from the Provence region. Just for you guys at home, let’s get to know the Gin together and tell you what makes this brand new spirit so distinctly remarkable in taste. For me it does have the wow factor that appeals to Gin lovers alike. When the sample of the Cap Gin arrived the other day, I’m so very delighted to tell you more about it. So here’s what I was able to find out so far. Cap Gin is distilled and produced at the distillerie de Terres Rouge, Turrene in France to create the most classic and timeless cocktails

Cap Gin, the unique premium spirit from the Côte d’Azur has made it’s debut in The Spirits Business Gin Masters 2020, being awarded two gold medals.

Best Gin

It’s no surprise that in it’s first year of entering the awards, the Gin won across multiple categories. Experts judges on the panel have portrayed it as floral and luxurious applauding Cap Gin as the ‘IT’ drink this summer winning gold in both the premium and London Dry Categories shows its distinction for exclusivity.

Curious and what to know what’s in it? If you love the fresh feeling of summer then this ones defiantly up your street if you love all things citrusy. Throughout history citrus has formed an integral part of the Côte d’Azur from the prestige of Menton Lemon to Fleur d’Oranger used in the perfumeries of Grasse. Cap Gin contains all of these botanicals, fruit, spices, and herbs to create flavour that is derived from this iconic region. You’ll notice the flavorsome of coriander and juniper mixed just right with natural scents found here to create this premium French Gin.

Just a bit of background into CAP Gin which was created by it’s co founder’s Andrew Campbell, James Auld, Adam Payne three friends to embody the rich culture and diverse heritage of its residents with homage to the spirit of the Côte d’Azur. The port town of Antibes can considered as a major influence with its significance of historical culture to the alluring glitterati nightlife scene.

Even the bottle reflects the clear coastal waters of the Mediterranean brought to life as the go to lifestyle brand. When tasting the gin for yourself it gives you that feeling of being there in the moment or aspire to want to go there is the idea to sell you the Côte d’Azur lifestyle in a bottle. I do love the gin’s uniquely distilled floral finished with a delicate blend of citrus is lightly refreshing to portray the lifestyle of the South of France . I can’t imagine anything more perfect than to unwind this weekend with the refreshing taste of Cap Gin.

Cap Gin can be distinguished as classic, refined and satisfyingly refreshing – enjoy a taste of the French Riviera. Welcome to the Côte d’Azur with luxury and indulgence around every corner.

Things to do in Algarve

Portimao a beautiful scenic fishing town situated in the Southern Algarve region of Portugal is most famous for its local Arts & Crafts culture. It boasts the most pristine beaches, hotels, shopping, and cosmopolitan nightlife scene including an array of exquisite restaurants and bars.

The Best of Algarve’s Scenic Southern Coast

On the day I set off to Portugal I was very excited, despite the 6 am flight departure time from London Gatwick to Faro Airport I just could not wait to get there and enjoy the trip. My itinerary was well organised by the brand rep who handled the Beach Club’s PR so we knew it was going to be an enjoyable experience and find out more about what this exclusive destination had to offer international tourism in Portugal.

It boasts the most pristine beaches, hotels, shopping, and cosmopolitan nightlife scene including an array of exquisite restaurants and bars.

The Algarve’s impressive International Racetrack ensures an upscale and sophisticated city break similar to its Monaco counterpart bringing you the full Grand Prix Extravaganza experience. But, there’s so much more if you’re curious to find out and explore the wonders of the Algarve. Why not be amongst the first to join the jet set by putting Portimao on the map. It’s tipped to be the most Stylish destination of this summer competing with Ibiza, Mykonos and Montenegro.

Things to do in Algarve

Here are my suggestions for how to get there, things to do and where to go.

Portimao Airport is a regional private jet airport located in Faro. The option of traveling in style is also available where you can book your own private flight through a variety of Private Jet Operators to and from Portugal’s Southern Algarve. Alternatively, Easy Jet Fly’s to and from selected UK Airports frequently with competitive airfares into Faro Airport.

The brainchild of investor Maximillian White, Blanco Beach Club is the latest entertainment and experience driven venue to hit the shores of Portimao. If you’re seeking a lavish Hedonistic destination it’s a haven in paradise where white sandy beaches sit next to the idyllic turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Furthermore, the sumptuous sunken beach beds to the 5 star Mediterranean fusion restaurant offers the culinary delights of fresh sea food and sushi. If you fancy partying the the night away at the open air nightclub its open till late.

Blanco Beach Club is playing host to some of the biggest music artist and DJ’s in the music industry including Tyga and French Montana.

The Food and Drinks Menu here is excellent from the presentation of it’s food platters of sushi selection of sashimi, nigiri, California roll,  yellow tail and sea food with favorites freshly prepared by a specialist Sushi chef from Lisbon ex Nobu. Not forgetting the hospitality here is exceptional from its customer service to it’s well presented staff and friendly atmosphere. Sip on sumptuous cocktails from the restaurant menu and relax to summer soundtrack of deep house for a lazy afternoon before the sun goes down.

I really enjoyed the live PA set by Tori Lanez one evening upon my visit when the whole of the Beach Club transforms into a full service nightclub hosting the best exclusive DJ sets and music performances from acclaimed international Artist.

Please take a moment to admire the exclusive Beach Club’s venue and facilities situated on the Praia de Rocha Beach in Portimao’s newest addition to the Southern Algarve. If you love the vibe in Ibiza this will certainly take you’re fancy then I highly recommend giving this destination a try to kick start your summer of fun in the sun.

Highlights of the International Menswear Collections at Camera Moda Uomo Autuno Inverno 2020

As one of the most important dates in the fashion calendar, all focus will be on Milan over the next few days as Fashion Houses are preparing to reveal their new season’s collections for Fall Winter 2020. Camera Moda the official event organiser for Milan Fashion Week returns this season with a jam packed schedule of catwalk shows, presentations and events to celebrate Men’s Fashion Week with style and flair.

The thrilling line up on the fashion week schedule has both established designers as well as emerging talent, even more reason to secure your spot on the FROW for a close up of this seasons key trends.

DUOMO Milano – Italy. It was honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever set eyes on with a long climb to the roof before lunch then heading to a catwalk show. Great weather too! Surprising for January.

We visited the Designer Showrooms Milan – one of our favourites from Men’s Fashion Week. I spoke with the Designer Matteo Bigliardi and told me how they are going for a new way of doing Tuxedos. I’ve never seen anything like it I thought it was excellent. Everything was so high quality and well made. I loved the coordinating sets and tried on one of the comfiest coats ever too.

CULT STREETWEAR LABEL ICEBERG GETS READY FOR ITS LONDON TAKE OVER AT MEN’S FASHION WEEK

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 1 min read 586 views

So what do we know so far, Iceberg is a cult streetwear label from Milan and has been going strong since 1974 where the Italian Fashion House is known for it’s DNA of vibrant colour together with Long’s remix of iconic technical knits in casual silhouettes.

By looking at the Fashion Week schedule it was one of the most highly anticipated shows to mark the start of Men’s Fashion Week and definitely worth waiting for.

London is known for its sartorial elegance and tailoring the focus was on street wear and sport luxe this season that dominated the Men’s Catwalk this week.

The inspiration for Iceberg’s SS 2019 collection made references to the designer’s Italian love of F1 where dance meets football London attitude that was reflected in the energy of the show. Theme’s in the collection explored the past with a vision of the future which emphasized the importance of equality that everyone is part of a winning team.

Long’s signature garment’s included quirky deep fried glitched graphics are hand drawn or collage interpretations on Peanuts, Joe Cool, and tone on tone logo’s which came down the runway. A playful use of texture in the way triple printed denim looks sparkle along with plastic-coated gloss knit Iceberg logo’s dazzle opponents off the sport arena.

Iceberg’s SS 2019 collection made references to the designer’s Italian love of F1 where dance meets football London attitude

Pieces that stood out for me in the Iceberg collection were versatile tailored jackets with snap fastenings for both menswear and womenswear worn over a classic white separates’ with hidden self colour logo woven into the fabric. Details such as Warhol flowers adorn across satins, 3D knit’s and football shirts that affiliate you with the fashion capitals of the world.

London Fashion Week Mens

After the show, I hailed a cab to make my way over to the Kirk Original’s party at the Private White Store as we drove by the Strand I manage to get a glimpse of the Iceberg Model Squad in a parade as they passed by Somerset House, Trafalgar Square and ending at Piccadilly. It certainly stopped London Traffic by surprise as the high energy sports drinks colours of blue, green, yellow, pink and red shout Viva Italia as the Models walked straight off the catwalk onto London’s street’s. What a great PR Stunt during Men’s Fashion Week that represented the new millennial generation of fashionista’s and revival of the label’s signature style.

NATURAL MATTERS

Daniel Jackson shot supermodel Christy Turlington and Calvin Klein creative directors Francisco Costa, Italo Zucchelli and Kevin Carrigan for WSJ. Magazine. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful.

Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain…

As you may be aware from the proliferation of headlines that end in “…and the internet is very upset about it!” the Internet is constantly very upset about various things. Some of those things provoke quite understandable if not righteous upper. Other times though, the internet just seems bored and looking for something to kick around the ol’ Twitter echo chamber.

The world of fashion meanwhile has a long history of provoking, teasing, scandalizing, and, dare we say it, trolling. Actual scandal-worthy fashion moments aside, it is of little surprise then that occasionally otherwise inoffensive fashion items and objects get caught in the Twitter outrage cycle simply for existing. Would fashion really be doing it’s job in 2017 if it didn’t occasionally provoke such strong reactions online? We have little doubt that that was the point at least some of these designers (we’re looking at you Demna) were trying to make. Others maybe were perhaps just playing catch up on what they perceived as a trend.

Fall decorating presents the opportunity to revel in luxury. Fabrics become more substantial, color palettes transition to rich hues, and just about every design decision for the season revolves around cultivating a cozy living environment. In an effort to help you make your space ideal for fall, a group of design tastemakers reveal the decor trends to expect in homes across the country this season, along with a few lessons you’ll want to consider.

Mike Rowe, host of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, entered into the world online fashion critic earlier this year when he discovered a pair of $425 jeans on sale at Nordstrom’s from the brand PRPS. He positioned them as another volley in “our country’s War on Work.” He continued, “They’re not even fashion. They’re a costume for wealthy people who see work as ironic – not iconic.” Fair point. Really though we were also a bit offended that DSquared2 already did the whole purposefully muddied jeans a few years ago. In fact, Gwen Stefani was spotted wearing the originals when she first started dating Blake Shelton. See, there are occasional situation in which a high fashion-meets-down home country boy aesthetic really is necessary.

How do you add intrigue to a minimal outfit? By clashing textures and skillfully blending high and low pieces. Jil Sander’s PVC trench is a trophy piece of the highest order; make it sing by pairing it with blue denim and a subtle slogan tee in clean white. Want to dial up the drama even more? Apply a liberal helping of spring’s most covetable accessories: a structural leather bag (Wandler’s Hortensia style is an instant classic); of-the-moment statement earrings courtesy of Alessandra Rich; and The Row’s envy-inducing stiletto boots.

Like exercise trends of earlier decades, it can feel like one more requirement         of womanhood

We get why people would be outraged from a certain view, but we also think at least some of these designers are in on the joke. Maybe the only question is what exactly the punchline is. Then again, when you think about it the entire world of high fashion is taking something mundane (clothing; we all have to wear it), and turning it into coveted and cutting-edge luxury items.

Life experience brings out different emotions and different perspectives on things. I just want to be constantly evolving.

People were absolutely astounded, at least in between that time that they read the Tweet or headline and when they actually go to the details, that Prada was selling a $150 “paper clip.” In reality, of course, it was a sterling silver money clip shaped like a paper clip (and when you really think about it, all clips really do the same thing). $150 is a lot for a paper clip, but it’s actually not that eye boggling when you look at other high-end money clips.

Ben Sherman’s modern, iconic mod look pays homage to 60’s  style icons on the music scene

Just a bit of history for you, British musicians of the 1960’s were being influenced by Ivy league collegiate style influences from across the Atlantic, a love of Italian Scooters and French Hairstyles which inspired Spring Summer 2019.

It’s back to school with Ben Sherman and House of Holland as Ivy League and Retro Styles take centre stage to emulate sixties style icons on the music scene.

After all the excitement of yesterday’s shows during Day 1 of London Fashion Week Men’s I was waiting to see which Designers could raise the bar to showcase the latest trends for SS 2019 as we still have another two days to go.

Iconic checks and bold candy stripes were sophisticated as resort wear pieces to take you from beach to bar.

This season I was curious as to what Designers would be doing and differentiating between uniqueness of each brand meant that it was hard to decide which shows to attend. You can’t do it all but if you do try and see as much as you can.

London’s always the place to discover new and upcoming talent. With that said, Ben Sherman never fails to disappoint with Henry Holland at the helm of the labels Creative Direction team you can always expect an understated collection with edge paying homage to cool Britannia part of the labels DNA.

An exciting blend of colour and prints takes centre stage for the new collection creating mod rock and roll style with preppy Ivy League looks as versatile pieces.

Firstly, let me mention the setting for staging this season’s catwalk show to my astonishment gave us a clue as to what we might expect coming down the catwalk this afternoon. Could it be Ivy League perhaps?

The beautiful room housed in Middle Temple reminded me of a Preparatory School like something out of the Gossip Girl Series I kid you not. It was reminiscent of the school assembly with church organs blaring out in a chapel as the first models emerge down the catwalk in luxury sport’s wear inspired by Ivy League unisex pieces in classic silhouettes evoked young rock and roll icons.

Favourites include the iconic checks and bold candy stripes were sophisticated as resort wear pieces to take you from beach to bar. Striking colour palettes such as cool blues were offset to contrast with hues of silver pink and tomato cream including new signature colours Windsor Wine and Olive Oil make ideal summer statement pieces for vacation.

Who could forget the unforgettable brass band that marched the models out during the final walk to close the show paying homage to a very British Theme which took guest by surprise as a real treat this afternoon. It was very regal indeed and the show was delightfully and immaculately presented. We just loved it!

Gradually, in the late 1950s, women began to embrace more active forms of exercise, as well as the concept of carving out designated blocks of time to move—thanks to the first TV fitness gurus. The two most influential were Jack LaLanne, who encouraged women to put down their irons and follow alongwith his low-impact stretches and exercises, and a host named.

Debbie Drake, who wore a collared leotard, looked like a human Barbie doll and advised that following her regimen was the key to keeping one’s husband happy. “Debbie Drake had a very big impact because, for women [of the era], she was the most clear image we had of what a woman who exercised looked like,” says Jan Todd,

They’re a costume for wealthy people who see work as ironic – not iconic.” Fair point. Really though we were also a bit offended that DSquared2 already.

The acting, it appears, comes easily. Co-stars heap unusually genuine praise on Woodley, with the likes of George Clooney – whom she starred with in The Descendants, her sit-up-and-take-notice role – and Kate Winslet (the Divergent franchise) singling her out as one of the best actresses of her generation. Everything that comes with it though? That’s been a struggle.

“The idea of magazines, press lines, red carpets and fashion, all of that was so overwhelming that I stayed away from it all,” says the actress over herbal tea at a relaxed LA cafe, clad in a leather jacket and jeans. “I can’t half-ass anything, so when it came to me having to look a certain way or speak a certain way for this image I was meant to create, it turned me off. When I wasn’t filming I would work on a farm somewhere because that’s what I could hold onto that felt real.”

“The idea of fashion is EXCITING again because I can now CURATE a look that’s authentically MYSELF. I suppose it comes down to control”

For a long time, none of that was Woodley’s thing. “I was only interested in making sure my physical footprint was aligned with my mental opinions and viewpoints,” she says. “Now I’m in a different place. The idea of fashion is exciting because I can now curate a look that’s authentically myself. I suppose it really just comes down to control.”

Right now, the actress is filming a second series of Big Little Lies. While she’s equally as proud of the TV phenomenon as her co-stars – Laura Dern and Zoë Kravitz, as well as executive producers Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman – the show represents something even more crucial for Woodley; until the script came along, she was considering quitting acting after all. “There was a point in my life, right before Big Little Lies, where I had hit a wall with acting. I felt it was time to do something different. I called my agents and said, ‘Please don’t send me any more scripts; I need to explore other avenues.’ They respected me and didn’t send me anything for almost a year until Big Little Lies. I didn’t know what it was or who was involved, I just said, ‘Thanks, I’m still not interested.’” The agents persisted, revealing the impressive names attached. “I read it, fell in love with it, and Laura , who I had worked with on The Fault in Our Stars, called me and that was really the push.”

For hanging out with friends

“I live in New York but I travel constantly. I have a house in Mallorca, and I often go back to Poland because I do a lot of campaigning projects there. When I’m in Paris, I stay with designer Anthony Vaccarello, and he comes and stays with me in my place in Mallorca. We’re not party animals; we like to do our own thing. We like the director Gaspar Noé – we watched Enter the Void together recently – and we love Kubrick.”

For a stylish bite

“Sa Foradada in Deià, Mallorca (+34 616 08 74 99), is the most incredible place for lunch. It’s a beautiful little restaurant carved into the mountain with the most incredible sea view. You can only get there by boat or by hiking – it’s very local and serves the best veggie paella.”
