Deciding on what to take on a trip abroad can be quite the challenge but essentially important as selecting the ideal luggage that is stylish but yet practical.

Introducing The Pro Model ST DJ case Digital Luxury at its best

As a keen traveler myself I just love the thrill and excitement of jetting off somewhere new come summer time and the last minute trips in between.

I managed to pop down to the London Launch of Horizn Studios temporary Soho store yesterday evening to feel inspired by their latest exclusive range of suitcases.

Who knows I might be lucky enough to own one of these travel bags for my next upcoming trip for the foreseeable future. Wanderlust goals ha ha to always travel in style where ever I go.

Work Hard Play Hard Travel Smart

Yesterday evenings party celebrated the launch of two exciting collaborations, the first with Arvida Bystrom, who had her latest exhibition available to preview at the venue. Also, exclusive artwork produced by DJ Seth Troxler DJ / Producer on display, along with his 99 t-shirts produced to raise money for Cook for Syria.

It was definitely great to see up close two exciting projects Horizn have been working on with Arvida Bytstrom and DJ Seth Troxler. There is a huge market out there where fashion brands are no longer standalone products but part of our lives that helps improve our lifestyle for the better.

The music DJ Sets from Chelsea Layland, Cici Cavanagh and Overly Gassed helped contribute to a great party atmosphere which was a full house that continued into the late hours of the evening.

There is a huge market out there where fashion brands are no longer standalone products but part of our lives that helps improve our lifestyle for the better.

For instance, observing this suitcase it can charge your phone and cleverly built in GPS tracker so you need not worry again if you lose any luggage whilst travelling. Luckily it has not happened to me just yet, but I’m sure none of you are willing to take your chances.

Here’s what I found out about the product and what’s so great about it! apart from the one click removable smart charger.

There’s even a case especially designed for DJ’s where you can store your vinyl and anything else that you need for a trip which is the first of it’s kind that I have come across recently. This has to be my favorite suitcase of them all as Horizn Studioes introduces their exclusive Premiere Line Collection range designed in collaboration with International DJ Seth Troxler – The Pro Model ST DJ case. It has all the smart functionality cleverly integrated within . Created for the Jet Setter on the go! it will take you from the plane to the club from digital to vinyl which Retails at £399

Other unique features for suitcases included laundry bags for dirty clothes and a compartment to store footwear keeping your items clean and fresh during transit. It’s ideal and a genius way to travel smarter in the future with all the extras thrown in. Suitcases such as this being advanced in digital technology do not come cheap but it’s worth the investment long term and I would definitely consider a purchase.

For More Information on The Horizn Studios Brand please visit their website and Follow the Brand for updates on Social Media. Prices of the suitcases start from £269 and vary according to size, model and distinct features

London Fashion Week Men's

Tempah paid homage to his love of football subculture and diversity

Tinie Tempah’s contemporary menswear brand What We Wear celebrated its 1st year anniversary, at men’s fashion week in London this week.

Throughout the collection Tempah paid homage to his love of football subculture and diversity. What We Wear showcased a sophisticated functional collection which was a combination of sportswear and skilled tailoring. The collection aesthetics focused on training and season football kit with the zig zag logo subtly incorporated.

London Fashion Week Men's

Yet in between the collection, What We Wear found its strength with its easy contemporary street wear inspired pieces.

Notable garments incorporated fun bold colours, interchangeable luxurious fabrics, glossy patent leather jackets, an easy denim two piece suit, a tie dye jumper paired with lux tracksuit trousers were understated looks.

Over the year What We Wear has grown and elevated into a new breed of sportswear with a confident approach to texture, colour, and contrasting tracksuits and trouser separates.

Equality Team Spirit & Inclusion for all

We look forward to bigger things for What We Wear and an exciting new direction of traditional sportswear with a lux edge.

London Fashion Week Men's

I find it quite interested how there has been a shift in menswear style from more traditional garment separates to subculture influences from the streetwear scene coming in mainstream fashion from Balenciaga, GUCCI to Supreme of lately.

London Fashion Week Men's

This season’s collection celebrated the key message of inclusion and everyone should feel welcome  no matter what. It’s time to overcome challenges and obstacles for the foreseeable future.

ICEBERG ITALY GETS READY FOR ITS TAKE OVER AT LONDON FASHION WEEK MEN’S

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 1min read1527 views

So what do we know so far, Iceberg is a cult streetwear label from Milan and has been going strong since 1974 where the Italian Fashion House is known for it’s DNA of vibrant colour together with Long’s remix of iconic technical knits in casual silhouettes.

By looking at the London Fashion Week Men’s schedule it was one of the most highly anticipated shows to mark the start of Men’s Fashion Week and definitely worth waiting for.

London is known for its sartorial elegance and tailoring the focus was on street wear and sport luxe this season that dominated the Men’s Catwalk this week.

The inspiration for Iceberg’s SS 2019 collection made references to the designer’s Italian love of F1 where dance meets football London attitude that was reflected in the energy of the show. Theme’s in the collection explored the past with a vision of the future which emphasized the importance of equality that everyone is part of a winning team.

Long’s signature garment’s included quirky deep fried glitched graphics are hand drawn or collage interpretations on Peanuts, Joe Cool, and tone on tone logo’s which came down the runway. A playful use of texture in the way triple printed denim looks sparkle along with plastic-coated gloss knit Iceberg logo’s dazzle opponents off the sport arena.

Pieces that stood out for me in the Iceberg collection were versatile tailored jackets with snap fastenings for both menswear and womenswear worn over a classic white separates’ with hidden self colour logo woven into the fabric. Details such as Warhol flowers adorn across satins, 3D knit’s and football shirts that affiliate you with the fashion capitals of the world.

London Fashion Week Men's

After the show, I hailed a cab to make my way over to the Kirk Original’s party at the Private White Store as we drove by the Strand I manage to get a glimpse of the Iceberg Model Squad in a parade as they passed by Somerset House, Trafalgar Square and ending at Piccadilly. It certainly stopped London Traffic by surprise as the high energy sports drinks colours of blue, green, yellow, pink and red shout Viva Italia as the Models walked straight off the catwalk onto London’s street’s. What a great PR Stunt during London Fashion Week Men’s that represented the new millennial generation of fashionista’s and revival of the label’s signature style.

LONDON FASHION WEEK STYLE DIARY: WHAT I WORE AT THE BEN SHERMAN SS 19 SHOW

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 1min read913 views

London Fashion Week Style Diary

As a matter of fact I chose to pair a tailored jacket with weekend essential staples such as a  simple t-shirt for a smart casual look. Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour against other textures which can look great in contrast to one another. I felt today I wanted to capture the essence of Summer in London but with a resort sort of feel. Then to finish off the look I chose to wear a Ben Sherman Men’s Watch to support the brand as you do during the show to always lend support and appreciation for the Designers.

For instance, hence the t-shirt evoking a bit a bit nautical details as its’ all about being outdoors making the most of a sunny day in June. Alternative separates apart from your conventional light weight denim could be chinos also if you want to dress it up a little more depending on the occasion. I’m thinking style references with a hint towards such sporting events in the English Social Calendar this weekend at Polo in The Park Fulham. Never mind, I’m at Fashion Week anyway and that’s what I’m up to this weekend so it’s all work I’m afraid but grateful for the glorious sunshine to make the most of my Menswear summer separates a great reason to wear the out for the occasion.

Ben Sherman’s modern, iconic mod look pays homage to 60’s  style icons on the music scene

Just a bit of history for you, British musicians of the 1960’s were being influenced by Ivy league collegiate style influences from across the Atlantic. Get into the Summer mood and indulge in a love of Italian Scooters and French Hairstyles which inspired Spring Summer 2019.

It’s back to school with Ben Sherman and House of Holland as Ivy League and Retro Styles take centre stage to emulate sixties style icons on the music scene.

London Fashion Week Men's

After all the excitement of yesterday’s shows during Day 1 of London Fashion Week Men’s I’m thrilled to see which Designers could raise the bar to showcase the latest trends for SS 2019. Just another two days to go.

Iconic checks and bold candy stripes were sophisticated as resort wear pieces to take you from beach to bar.

This season I was curious what Designers would be doing? Differentiating between uniqueness of each brand meant that it was hard to decide which shows to attend. You can’t do it all but if you can try and see as much as you can.

London’s always the place to discover new and upcoming talent. With that said, Ben Sherman never fails to disappoint with Henry Holland at the helm of the labels Creative Direction team. I can be assured to always expect an understated collection with edge paying homage to cool Britannia of the labels DNA.

An exciting blend of colour and prints takes centre stage for the new collection creating mod rock and roll style with preppy Ivy League looks as versatile pieces.

Firstly, let me mention the setting for staging this season’s catwalk show to my astonishment gave us a clue for expectations coming down the catwalk this afternoon. Could it be Ivy League perhaps?

The beautiful room housed in Middle Temple reminded me of a Preparatory School like something out of the Gossip Girl Series. I kid you not – was just like St Jude’s film set. It was reminiscent of the school assembly with church organs blaring out in a chapel as the first models emerged down the catwalk. We saw luxury sport’s wear inspired by Ivy League unisex pieces in classic silhouettes evoked young rock and roll icons.

Favourites include the iconic checks and bold candy stripe resort wear pieces to take you from beach to bar. Striking colour palettes such as cool blues were offset to contrast with hues of silver pink and tomato cream. In addition new signature colours Windsor Wine and Olive Oil make ideal summer statement pieces for vacation.

Who could forget the unforgettable brass band that marched the models out during the final walk to close the show. This finale paying homage to a very British Theme took guest by surprise as a real treat this afternoon. It was very regal indeed and the show was delightfully and immaculately presented. We just loved it!

ENGAGEMENT PARTIES THIS SPRING? GET CLUED UP ON DRESS CODES, STYLES AND ACCESSORIES

The perils of recently engaged party dress code – you are not alone in your dilemma.

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 2min read1776 views

Wedding fever has got the better of us, and with so many Dress Codes what does a Gent wear to mark a formal special occasion? Check out my recommendations on what to wear to that all important official engagement party, which reminds me that my close friends are announcing their official engagement at a formal cocktail party before the big day. I find Weddings are the best way to kick off the summer before the new seasons sporting calendar calls for a change of attire and embark on our summer vacation.

There’s never been a better time to discover tailoring that looks great, no matter what season it is and of course fine accessories to match. I recommend a great range of watches by brands Larsson and Jennings or Smart Turnout which I love for their vibrant watch straps just like the one I have is a classic preppy style. The look is now complete which reminds something is missing perhaps gifts for the future Bride and Groom as I still have a bit of time to organise finding the perfect gift before this week’s engagement party!

OFF-WHITE FASHION LABEL X ARTIST TAKASHI MURAKAMI COLLABORATE FOR SOLO ART EXHIBITION

THE PRIVATE PREVIEW AT GAGOSIAN GALLERY LONDON

On the eve of London Fashion it’s not uncommon to see large crowds queuing down the street especially for a fashion show or event.

Today is the opening reception and private view of ‘Future History’ by legendary Artist Takashi Murakami in collaboration with exclusive fashion label OFF-WHITE by designer Virgil Abloh exhibits in London.

Street wear fans of OFF-WHITE and the Artist gathered to view the exclusive works of art at the Mayfair Gallery.

If you’re a fan of street style subcultures, contemporary and graffiti style art work drop on by, but just to give you a heads up there might be a long queue or if you can get on the VIP list it might just be your lucky day.

Sometimes it’s great to take in some inspiration especially if it’s great works of art and I wanted to take a moment to have break from the catwalk shows during London Fashion Week to relax.

Here’s what’s on show at the exhibition so come down and see for yourself. It’s just like that book I read at University NO LOGO by Naomi Klein what is the value of brands and how doe’s popular culture influence us in society.

OFF-WHITE

Whether Art or Fashion the message is clearly intended to draw the viewers in that we must buy into popular culture in order to be part of something big.

Off-White is a creative collective or at least now an art, fashion and music movement with a huge following on social media. For those that have not heard of Off-White it’s currently the cult street wear label of the moment and lifestyle brand getting lots of media attention for it’s exclusive collaborations.
