JUST FOR DAD
Treat your Dad to something special this Fathers Day 16th June with a selection of my favourite picks so far. Any thoughts on what to buy, let me help you decide with these unique gift ideas to impress him on the day
Guess what guys it’s almost time for the Weekend again. One of my favourite ways of dressing up a smart casual outfit is opting for a monochrome colour palette with LA inspiration of course “THE HILLS” which seems to be my go to weekend look as it creates a rather clean and minimal feel don’t you think. On a Friday morning on days like today it appears to be a good day with the sunshine out in London town as I make my way to a meeting before lunch time. So, if you’re wondering how should you wear this attire in spring summer without it being too warm it comes down to the choice of fabrics that are light and breathable at the same time.
Fabrics such as linen on jackets seem to be appropriate in this weather as it will be getting rather warm in the next coming months. What I like about classic separates such as light cotton shirts or t-shirts you can team these with a jacket to slightly dress the look up or down depending on where you are going. I like this combination allot as it still looks rather relaxed and comfortable which is how it should feel in spring when its time to hang up your winter wardrobe till next season.
Fitted jeans or trousers can also create nice proportions to elongate or emphasis body shape which I find looks great in appearance and when I take random pictures of myself wearing my outfits. The key is knowing your body shape and making the most of whatever shape and size you are, because everyone is different and deserves to feel great in clothes. As they say black can be slimming, but not only that I have feeling the monochrome trend will be a hit this season with the newly anticipated Beverley Hills 90210 re-boot hits the small screen once again.
For me it’s all about the layers for now because the weather in London is so predictable at times. Who doesn’t love a classic white t-shirt when the weather stays pleasant for the time being at least for now?
For me this trend is so versatile to sport different kind of looks from day to night, for instance I’ll leave the house and throw on my favourite black leather jacket over the top or in the evenings pair a white tee with my favourite blazer for smart casual attire. It works both ways and that’s why it works for me because I believe style should be effortless with ease. Although just remember in spring, one minute it’s sunny, then suddenly an outburst of rain which means keeping an umbrella at bay just in case.
I’m looking forward to the warm weather and eventually the days becoming longer come summer time I think we are almost there. Last May in fact in the U.K. was the warmest it’s been in so many years that I might as well have had a stay-cation at home instead of holidaying abroad. Wouldn’t it be great when it’s the right time to wear shorts and a t-shirt just sitting outside in the sun, barbecues in the garden and lazy afternoons in the park is worth waiting for.
During Spring I’m also looking forward to the Easter Bank Holiday to relax and just make good use of my time wisely. Often I find there’s lots to think about whether it’s making plans for all important occasions I’m hoping there might be a wedding if a friend decides to get hitched somewhere nice hot and sunny I hope. With summer you can guarantee there’s also going to be some great summer socials in the next few months so expecting some fun times ahead.
As I prepare to gear up for the summer holidays let’s hope the weathers stays pleasant for the time being which means I’m feeling inspired by new season style staples as I tend to have a habit to window shop following the upcoming summer sales.
Who can say no to wearing shorts at the park and beach as all I’m thinking about are long summer evenings and watching sunsets make weekend casual outfits all worthwhile wearing out and about.
With that said it’s almost time to book that summer holiday I keep telling myself to plan just a couple of months away so I’m really looking forward to taking that vacation – where to I wonder? I’m feeling inspired right now and what to wear

For Christmas 2018 the brand has introduced their exclusive Home and Travel Collection in collaboration with the acclaimed British Artist Clym Evernden who worked with Fenwicks on their window displays and Stylist magazine.
British Artist Clym collaborates with Acqua di parma for their limited Edition Colonia Collection this Holiday Season.
Clym was commissioned to create Acqua di Parma’s new campaign for the Limited Edition Colonia Artist Collection to capture the essence of the sunny sophistication of Italy and liberated feeling that inspired his little yellow bird illustration. Acqua’s products are mostly unisex so the packaging reflects that and was created in mind to be neutral so the products are accessible for everyone.
New arrivals this season include a deodorant just recently added to the range which includes 32 fragrances in the whole collection so there’s allot of choice to impress even the most discerning gentlemen in your life.
As gift set’s seem to be the most popular choice this festive season I wanted to mention the ones which stood out for me which were the smart gifts as Clym limited edition hand wash and hand lotion, scented candles colonia x Clym and Essenza Intensa Pura x Clym gift sets come with 100 ml fragrance, gel deodorant and shower gel.
Gift packaging Seasons Greeting’s in four different languages Russian, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese for a personal touch.
The Bespoke option gift box is available too where you can choose 3 or 4 products encased with a ribbon without tissue which in my opinion seems smarter in terms of presentation. It does not stop there so in fact it just gets even better where the personalisation of gifts this Christmas is pre-monogrammed on Hat boxes. By observing the packaging it has seasons greeting’s in four different languages Russian, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese includes limited Edition products and colonia handwash.
So just to recap what’s on offer this Christmas it’s the Christmas gift sets x 4 Colonia, Intensa, Essena and Pura, to smart gift sets / home, Colonia Sandelo and bespoke gifting.
During my window shopping trip over the weekend I realised that the Blue Mediternia Collection is only exclusive to House of Fraiser which are citrus, aromatic, sweet scented and fruity distinguished by the names Mirto di Panrea, Aranci Di Capri, and Fico di Amalfi to recreate that feeling of being holiday once you get there.
Citrus aromatic scent is fresh and full of life with bergamot where the woody smells of vetiver, lavender and lemon leave that long lasting impression of sophistication.
Trust me on this one, as you’ll want to try all 6 in the range too from Colonia Assoluta, Colonia Intensa, Colonia Essensa, Colonia Club and Colonia Pura. For those of you interested in the history of the brand Acqua di Parma’s Colonia Classic fragrance is 102 years old which makes it a classic heritage brand to rival other designer fragrances on the market as the Award Winning Classic Fragrance at the GQ Grooming Awards 2017.
Interesting fact – Colonia represents the 1st 100 years of the past and Colonia Pura the 2nd 100 years in the present future. I could go on and on but as the main focus of this review is to tell you all about the Limited Edition Christmas Collection you’ll want to take home and own which you and your loved ones can share together. These days the popularity of catering to meet the demand for gender neutral products is especially common in both men and women’s fragrances which can also be considered unisex which is something you’ll both want to own together because it’s very special. So, I think that’s pretty much Christmas shopping sorted and various item’s I’ll add to my wish list then!

I don’t know about you, but there’s always an opportunity to window shop as there’s so many great brands to choose from at reasonable prices to compete with the designer brands and does not break the bank.
I remember the first time I tried out this peacoat style I was actually looking for a coat that fits closely to the body as well as being warm inside too
Definitely something you should consider when looking around as fit and quality is most important to me and not comprising on style.
Come to think of it, when tracing back to the origins of the peacoat style throughout history it is in fact a Military Maritime coat used at sea by Sailors.
Traditional colours which are most common are dark navy to more non traditional black that offers timeless outwear since the seventeenth century.
The Classic Peacoat originally worn by Sailors as Maritime Uniform.
The first thing that comes to mind when investing in a new men’s coat for winter to wear outside is that you want it to look effortless to pair with everyday style staples as a statement piece.
These coats come in different lengths too but personally I like mine mid calf instead of full length to match my height including both single and double breasted jackets to choose from according to style preference.
Even though it get’s very cold in London this coat style is perfect to see you through the bleakest of mid winter at least til the very end when we can once again look forward to spring time.
