GETTING READY FOR GOODWOOD REVIVAL | MEN’S DRESS CODE

STYLED & FITTED IN TWEED BY DESIGNER ELOISE GREY

Goodwood Revival

#MyRevival

Who can forget the smell of engines with the roar of iconic race cars. Experience a thrilling three day festival celebrating the halcyon days of motor racing and vintage style

I remember my first ever visit to Goodwood Revival because it was so memorable. Also, it was an opportunity to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane and experience vintage clothing and costume from a bygone era at its finest.

Goodwood Revival

Revival fashion on the day tells the story of fashion throughout the revival era. You can re-live it all from the evolution of the hemline, how men’s iconic style changed from nineteen forty eight to nineteen sixty six and the sub culture phenomenon of the Teenager.

So excited I’m collaborating with Tweed Jacket Designer Eloise Gray for my fitting to get ready for Goodwood Revival today and really looked forward to attending this year’s event.

“Revival Fashion #GoodWoodStyle”

While I was here I got to have a bit of wonder to see what was going on from vintage clothing stalls, food pop-ups, street performance singing quartets to the Goodwood circuit track to check out the vintage classic cars.

The memorable highlights of the day were close racing, tight overtakes, roaring engines, screeching cross-plys, spitfires flying overhead to various vintage outfits and stores.

Who could forget the Revival Greats from the legendary cars highlights from Jaguar E-Types, Ferrari 250 GTOs to Lister Knobblys, Alfa Romeo 1600 Guilia GTAa and Shelby Daytona Coupes.

It was a spectacular day out and I got to wear an amazing tweed suit from talented UK Ethical Fashion Designer Eloise Grey on the day. Tweed is very much in style these days and the only thing I own is from Harris Tweed Made in Britain which is a classic statement piece. Also, works well when you pair it with other items in your closet like a trilby and nice brogues perhaps. I had the most stupendous weekend playing dress up, fashion shows and trying swing dancing was great fun with friends at Goodwood Revival. It was an opportunity to travel through style in time and make some new nostalgic memories. I’ll see you there next year!

Editorial Disclaimer: A huge thank you to Eloise Grey Designs for hosting me for the Press Preview during their Pop-Up Store. As always, all opinions are my own and I will never promote something I don’t personally use or would wear myself for accurate feedback.

LONDON FASHION WEEK STYLE DIARY: WHAT I WORE AT THE BEN SHERMAN SS 19 SHOW

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 1min read1005 views

London Fashion Week Style Diary

As a matter of fact I chose to pair a tailored jacket with weekend essential staples such as a  simple t-shirt for a smart casual look. Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour against other textures which can look great in contrast to one another. I felt today I wanted to capture the essence of Summer in London but with a resort sort of feel. Then to finish off the look I chose to wear a Ben Sherman Men’s Watch to support the brand as you do during the show to always lend support and appreciation for the Designers.

For instance, hence the t-shirt evoking a bit a bit nautical details as its’ all about being outdoors making the most of a sunny day in June. Alternative separates apart from your conventional light weight denim could be chinos also if you want to dress it up a little more depending on the occasion. I’m thinking style references with a hint towards such sporting events in the English Social Calendar this weekend at Polo in The Park Fulham. Never mind, I’m at Fashion Week anyway and that’s what I’m up to this weekend so it’s all work I’m afraid but grateful for the glorious sunshine to make the most of my Menswear summer separates a great reason to wear the out for the occasion.

LFW LOOKBOOK | FALL / WINTER MENSWEAR STYLE JOURNAL

As colder climates are settling in this Fall / Winter, here are a couple of my favourite looks to wear out once the winter style staples have taken over our closets. From leather jackets, to long overcoats, layered pieces to cosy knitwear our closets need some inspiration. Feel inspired by my favorite winter outfits

London Fashion Week Style Diary

What’s more wintery than a plaid tartan look. Here’s my new Overcoat fascination with this Blackwatch Tartan Men’s Coat from ZARA MAN – match it with skinny jeans, a crew neck jumper and classic derby shoes – this Heritage Trend look will ensure it stands out as a statement staple in your closet.

London Fashion Week Style Diary

Refresh your wardrobe with signature winter leather jackets the perfect weekend vibe paired with an ideal outfit for Brunch perhaps. It’s all about layering up underneath for extra warmth – a cosy crew or v-neck jumper worn with a basic tee underneath and skinny jeans, ideal for comfort when catching up with friends over lunch or dinner.
