For me going to the races is a bit like going to fashion week where style and glamour take centre stage is just as important as the horse racing sport itself. Each year I look very forward to attending some sporting events in the English Social Calendar just because it’s become an annual tradition for myself and my friends to get together while enjoying a thrilling day of excitement at the races.
It goes without saying that any sportswear is not permitted under any circumstances and don’t even think about turning up in a morning suit, full tuxedo or any suiting that bright including patterns. Play it safe, but still sophisticated and opt for summer hues in pastels instead. Most importantly, breathable fabrics are most suitable for this period of the new spring / summer racing season.
