MARY BENSON X RELENTLESS ENERGY DRINK LIVE GRAFFITI STREET ARTIST COLLABORATION

It’s that time of year again when we can all look forward to the beginning of summer starting with music festival season as renowned Lifestyle Brand Relentless Energy Drinks will most likely be lending their name to major sporting events, festivals and now street style fashion.

Relentless Energy Drink collaborates with British Fashion Designer Mary Benson for a pop-up store launch in the west end and I got to see the exclusive preview of her latest work.

Mary Benson launched her debut collection with Fashion East in 2014 where she was awarded the prestigious TOPSHOP Sponsorship for AW2015 a great accolade in the designers career. It was my firsthand experience of coming across the label and I love discovering new designer brands at Fashion Week.

This season Mary returns with an exclusive line of unisex vinyl and screen printed street wear which were on show during the launch night. Graffiti adorned the walls of the event alongside the pieces from the collection which were quirky and fun evoked street style sub culture with an onsite Street Artist creating live art work.

Last July marked the designers second major milestone to move into the space of online retail with the labels very own stand alone e-commerce store.

In the past Mary Benson has collaborated with ASOS releasing an exclusive shoe and accessories collection last year with an event in associate with Hackney Walk and Stitch Academy.

STYLE INSPIRATION IDEAS FOR NEW YEARS EVE PARTY ATTIRE

WHAT TO WEAR TO A BLACK TIE NYE MASQUERADE BALL

New Years Eve Outfits

New Year’s Eve the one day of the Year you can reflect on your life on the best parts and remove all negativity and just focus on the good things which are worth holding onto. I like to think of it as a ritual cleansing process to put the past behind you and start fresh. Whatever that maybe, it can be anything you like from toxic relationships, New Year’s resolutions and a wardrobe de-tox.

But, first and foremost finding the perfect party attire on New Year’s could also be a decadent affair to dress and impress. You can’t go wrong with some of these pre-selected luxury items by mixing Italian and Quintessentially British Style to achieve a well polished look just in time for Midnight Celebrations.

This year, I decided to Celebrate New Years Eve with close friends at the most beautiful London town house for a Masquerade themed Ball at The House St Barnabas in the West End. I remember the twinkle of the fairy lights all illuminated as they gleamed with soft lighting which gave character to the ambience – a great atmosphere too.

I just can’t wait to try some of these looks for myself as you have a choice between classic and contemporary looks which define elegance at its finest for all you discerning gentlemen be sure to look your best. British Style favourites of mine include Turnbull & Asser for their pristine cut shirts to accessories from Paul Smith, Aspinal of London and Italian classic labels by Salvatore Ferrgamo.

There are some great options from Mid-range to the High street such as Tuxedo Tailoring in Midnight Blue with Shawl lapels from Thom Sweeney which you can wear with your favourite bow tie, a pair of Boss Black formal footwear and a smart ASOS winter overcoat. You still have time to shop before midnight strikes 12 tomorrow evening as we say goodbye to 2017 in style.

ASOS MENSWEAR SUMMER PARTY

It’s been quite a long afternoon of shows today but the best news is the Sun is still shinning as we leave the Ben Sherman show and decide to head over next to the ASOS Menswear Presentation at the AQUA London Rooftop. It’s got a really great terrace on the roof and it was just the perfect setting to view their latest Spring Summer 2018 collection.

ASOS is one of my first port of call for online shopping if I’m looking for a seasonable trend piece to mix and match with outfits and great for weekend basics too. At the Spring Summer 2018 preview I noticed that there were on trend retro pieces being re-worked from the 90’s .Who could forget those cross over bags or I believe the correct or old term was referred to as a ‘Bumbag’.  Accessories such as classic white sunglasses always remind me of summer or Nineteen 50’s Hollywood which I think I’ve got a pair quite similar are just perfect for sunny days at the pool.

Asos

I think these would go nicely with one of the racer checker printed bags as I’m keen to have a browse while I’m here. You know I just can’t help myself to window shop. Anyway, perhaps there is something I could get for my upcoming press trip to Portugal as most of the influencers I know will be going. But more on that later, so be sure to check for updates on the blog about my travels this summer it’s going to be supper fun.

That feeling of summer to me always evokes that spark of hedonism and adventure and these pieces from the ASOS Menswear line are ideal for headlining this summer’s music festivals in style or holidays you need on trend pieces of clothing to make things more fun don’t you think. From the looks of the colour palate the clothes really stood out for me as striking, youthful, fun and vibrant in neon shade’s which is very nineties right now.

I’m just hoping that someone has a ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air themed Party’ because I quite like the idea getting my hands on some new statement pieces before my holiday vacation commences.  All I need to do now is choose what I want for my forthcoming trip and just pack. I guess, I’ll see you guys by the pool!

Models Wear Palm inspired Prints from Topman Design SS 2017

This season the collection pays homage to all the great kitsch associated with vintage seaside resorts. The thoughts which come to mind for the ideal summer situation are icecream, sandcastles to crazy golf are fun pursuits to be enjoyed.

Life couldn’t be more pleasant by the seashore, the feeling of being amidst the water and the summer breeze.

I just loved the sweaters emblazoned with: Torquay Margate and Southend, reminded show-goers that a staycation might be a great idea and that the weekend is almost here.

TOPMAN DESIGN BRINGS A FUN EDGE THIS SEASON TO LONDON COLLECTIONS MEN

I did notice towards the end of the show the tone of bold colours became more monochromatic and more dressed up looks with a rock star appeal with guitar and white doves prints.

Both key looks were adaptable to be both versatile and sophisticated to make the transition from day into evening wear. Topman know exactly who they are catering to in terms of their ideal customer.

I felt the collection brought a fun edge to the show with a vibrant feel of desire to be besides the seaside even though the sweltering heat of June meant inside the catwalk things got slightly stuffy and hot.

But it was worth the wait and wearing something from the designer today meant I was keeping in check representing the brand upon my arrival to pose for a photo as you do at fashion week.
