NUMERO 00 SPRING SUMMER 2020 MILAN FASHION WEEK MEN’S

NUMERO 00 FEEL NATURAL SS 2020

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 1min read1862 views

For Numero 00 Spring Summer 2020 Creative Director Valerio Farina explores the sensory journey of freedom, lightness, simplicity and natural elements to present this season’s collection. He wanted to portray a feeling of escapism from the stereotype of metropolis city life where he prefers a natural approach to living in favor of softness and purity which are reflected in the design of the garments distinguished by the light and fluid use of fabrics.

Milan Fashion Week Men's

Organic pieces take centre stage to enhance fit and its silhouettes bringing them to life where the rich colour palettes influenced by nature and the five elements of the universe Ayurveda evoke water, air, fire and earth.

Milan Fashion Week Men's

The designer hopes the sensory approach of returning to Mother Nature will inspire the wearer to connect emotionally with the pieces as an awakening of consciousness that connects them to the issues of an ideology for an eco sustainable world to make better informed choices.

Milan Fashion Week Men's

Feel Natural, Freedom, Lightness are the destinations of the sensory journey, which has brought the designer Valerio Farina to the conceive of the collection for Numero 00 SS20.

Looking closely at the collection these messages are embedded in the garments to feature conflicting artworks against the single use of plastic objects including the use of organic and recycled fabrics defining the feel natural theme of this collection.

The Colour palette used – blue celeste, rust colour, grey, white, sage green inspired from nature

I also noticed a trend of street wear dominating this seasons runway’s during Milan Fashion Week Men’s which was evident in the other collections presented during the men’s fashion week collections this summer.

The Designer exposes the desire of under dressing from the preconceptions and from the rules through garments distinguish themselves for the softness and purity

Topman Design kicked off London Fashion Week Men’s in style with an Exhibition Event followed by a party to celebrate SS 2018 with Special live performance by The Rhythm Method in London’s East End.

The inspiration behind the Topman Menswear collections aesthetics is ‘Modern Romantics’

For this seasons collection we headed over to Shoreditch at London’s Truman Brewry Building to preview Transition the exhibition presented by Topman Design which featured 5 collaborators, 5 films and an amazing preview presentation of Spring Summer 2018. These include works exhibited by model Nick Offord to Max Wallis amongst a few others to celebrate the 5 year anniversary at London Fashion Week Men’s.

The inspiration behind the Topman Menswear collections aesthetics is ‘Modern Romantics’ presented with a unique flair for fashion spirit and carefree attitude of the wearer.

Topman

When you think of who pioneered the New Romantics Movement you often think of Steve Strange, David Bowie, Duran Duran to Boy George during this era of popular culture that influenced music and iconic fashion trends.

Topman’s signature design concept is brought to life by referencing the past in order to influence the future was the theme for this seasons collection.

“@Topman #TopmanStyle

It was evident the 80’s was paving it’s way for a comeback as I observed the way Topman Design styled their collection.

I did like a majority of the retro inspired pieces including separates such as cropped jackets, lux sportswear, tailoring and loose fitting silhouettes on high waist trousers accented by white, grey, black to stripes and abstract print details to proportions in the garments.

Topman

Modern Romantics’ presented with a unique flair for fashion spirit and carefree attitude of the wearer.

For the launch today I decided to wear a monochrome look which is simple but yet still understated to make a style statement and still look polished was exactly the look I was going for to capture the moment.

ASOS MENSWEAR SUMMER PARTY

It’s been quite a long afternoon of shows today but the best news is the Sun is still shinning as we leave the Ben Sherman show and decide to head over next to the ASOS Menswear Presentation at the AQUA London Rooftop. It’s got a really great terrace on the roof and it was just the perfect setting to view their latest Spring Summer 2018 collection.

ASOS is one of my first port of call for online shopping if I’m looking for a seasonable trend piece to mix and match with outfits and great for weekend basics too. At the Spring Summer 2018 preview I noticed that there were on trend retro pieces being re-worked from the 90’s .Who could forget those cross over bags or I believe the correct or old term was referred to as a ‘Bumbag’.  Accessories such as classic white sunglasses always remind me of summer or Nineteen 50’s Hollywood which I think I’ve got a pair quite similar are just perfect for sunny days at the pool.

Asos

I think these would go nicely with one of the racer checker printed bags as I’m keen to have a browse while I’m here. You know I just can’t help myself to window shop. Anyway, perhaps there is something I could get for my upcoming press trip to Portugal as most of the influencers I know will be going. But more on that later, so be sure to check for updates on the blog about my travels this summer it’s going to be supper fun.

That feeling of summer to me always evokes that spark of hedonism and adventure and these pieces from the ASOS Menswear line are ideal for headlining this summer’s music festivals in style or holidays you need on trend pieces of clothing to make things more fun don’t you think. From the looks of the colour palate the clothes really stood out for me as striking, youthful, fun and vibrant in neon shade’s which is very nineties right now.

I’m just hoping that someone has a ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air themed Party’ because I quite like the idea getting my hands on some new statement pieces before my holiday vacation commences.  All I need to do now is choose what I want for my forthcoming trip and just pack. I guess, I’ll see you guys by the pool!

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 2min read901 views

If you’re a lover of slightly warmer weather which we’ve been getting lately in London then you’ll agree with me that Sunglasses are the perfect accompaniment to compliment your summer wear attire. It’s definitely one of those must have accessories which you can update infrequent or frequently should a new pair catch your eye. We all have our favourite pair we love the most but I do tend to occasionally like to switch up my style quite a bit when it comes to investing a classic pair of sunglasses. So why not start just here at – The Dunhill Summer Party!

Jim Chapman GQ Editor, Actor Joe Dempsey attend the Dunhill Summer Party!

It’s the Last stop of the evening of my men’s fashion week schedule and saving the best til last to celebrate the launch of their new eye wear collection. The brand hosted an elegant cocktail party! while meanwhile down the street in the Mayfair area another private party was going on at Burberry at the same time.

The Dunhill party tonight is amazing and even better when you bump into familiar faces makes it more fun to catch up with the movers and shakers of the fashionista crowd. Also, the hidden gem of the evening had to be the Dunhill Cinema hidden discreetly in the basement where you could chill out for a brief moment and enjoy a cocktail in peace if you wished. But, it seemed the party got into full swing and well under way with the arrival of Stars Joe Dempsey from Game of Thrones during the LCM presentation. Just some of the snaps from last nights summer party!

Spring Summer 2017 style inspiration from the Film ‘Brideshead Re-visited written by novelist Evelyn Waugh set in Britain’s Nineteen Twenties era.

Even some of the key looks from the Private White V.C collection reminded me of the period costumes Actor Jeremy Irons wears on screen were authentic classic pieces.

Like the Movie the collection takes you back to the golden era before the Second World War to discover the decade of dapper style adapted for the modern dandy. So, just a bit of fashion history I’m making reference to from the television series and film that redefined fashion for menswear to present day

PRIVATE WHITE

It is a known fact that as automobiles became more affordable cars helped pioneer men’s fashion trends into a new era where casual leisure outfits were equally popular during the 1920’s popular culture.

Just being here up close with the collection I imagined myself getting dressed in 1920’s inspired menswear attire from sartorial tailoring, fine luxury shoes to hats and more styled with pants and suspenders. White introduces contemporary casual style staples adapted for leisure day wear separates ‘evoking a less formal and sportier dress sense for men was the height of style in the nineteen twenties when sportswear entered mainstream fashion.

Jetting somewhere nice this summer let’s hope so. I haven’t really given it some thought but I’m thinking somewhere between a staycation vacation, or better yet Ibiza, Montenegro, Mykonos or The Hampton’s for the 4th July would be the ideal summer situation don’t you think.

Need more inspiration what to pack for this summer vacation find inspiration here
