This summer I told myself if I don’t go anywhere for vacation due to travel restrictions amidst the pandemic the idea of relaxing at home isn’t something I had considered until now. With that said, a summer staycation at home has been the most sensible option this year but don’t let that spoil your fun because there are ways to make the most of your open space including the back garden too.

When it came to choosing the ultimate summer accessory to transform the vibe of my back garden I was momentarily inspired by the idea of hammocking to transport me to the beach and just watch a lazy afternoon go by. I can’t think of anything more pleasant than lying in a hammock to re-create those summer memories and great feeling of being on holiday. Somewhere exotic or shores closer to home to watch the sunset go down. Which is your favourite British Beach?

At least this summer I can save on the air miles and adopt a more sustainable approach to travelling less which seems like somewhat a great idea than previously intended. So, I thought instead of missing out on a vacation why not bring the beach culture to me and set up with a hammock in my back garden sounds like the ideal summer situation.

After all, summer is all about re-living memories and making some new ones. I’m always up for being spontaneous and trying something new especially if its good fun like hammocking the act of setting up and subsequently chilling in a hammock with a view.

This campaign could not have come at a better time now that the clocks have gone back and I do especially love to drink tea during the colder winter months wouldn’t you agree is quite comforting early mornings, mid afternoon at work to evenings even before bed. The one thing I have learned over the course of the lockdown is to make sure Health & Well-being is you’re main priority as looking after yourself is number 1. All it takes is a change in mind set by making the slightest changes to habits such as caffeine intake is vital for living a healthier lifestyle. Over the past few months we’ve all had the challenge to adapt to a new life during the Covid 19 pandemic and that includes not going to the shops as normal, but in this case it was only allowed if absolutely necessary for essentials

For me, I count beauty and grooming products as everyday essentials even though we are used to adhering to our own personal grooming rituals at home before going out. With that said, staying in isolation for long periods of time feels like you’re putting life on hold for the moment but that doesn’t mean you should neglect daily routines and the same goes for grooming. Lucky for me, I’d stocked up on a few things which I already had before the whole country went into lockdown so I have learned at this moment in time to appreciate things allot more.

A sneak peak inside my personal toiletries bag with all the essential items I often carry with me to refresh my grooming kit at home or on the go.

This whole experience of the lock down period felt a bit like the War in Britain in comparisons to shortage of food items which was a bit of a culture shock at first. Learning to go without certain items like loo roll which my household was careful to ration at the beginning felt like a luxury until hoarding of this item calmed down a bit. But, with none essential shops having to close consumer and luxury goods were not easy to get hold off even online for that matter, but we just had to make the most of what we have during this time, so here’s what’s inside my personal toiletries bag with all the essential items I often carry with me to refresh my grooming kit at home or on the go.

In situations like staying at home my skin needs to feel refreshed and energized using the following brands which I highly recommend which are no particular order Clinique men’s or women’s to Acqua di Parma products because they just that fabulous once you try them out and work miracles for their individual uniqueness and formulated to suit various skincare types.

Clinique’s dramatically different moisturizing lotion gives my skin that extra feeling of hydration best applied when the skin is moist after a shower to feel refreshed.

When self selecting favourite brands you can’t go wrong with specialist sensitive skincare products out there in the market bearing in mind they custom to your skins condition like mine is prone to in between oily to dry skin combination. Clinique’s dramatically different moisturizing lotion gives my skin that extra feeling of hydration best applied when the skin is moist after a shower to feel refreshed. For me the skin pores open up so the lotion is easily absorbed once gently applied to the face.  Before doing this, once in the shower use the face wash to gently remove any excess oil, grime and dirt gently using hands to let it lather into the layers of skin then rinse off for a deep clean. This product works wonders as a thorough cleanser yet gentle is suitable for normal to dry skin. I love the Men’s skincare range just because Clinque is developed by dermatologist, 100 percent fragrance free and allergy tested.

For this range of Moisturiser, I use dry to combination as my skin sometimes tends to feel oily so this balances out the condition of my skin to improve its appearance.

They don’t call it dramatically different for nothing as it does exactly what it says on the tin. For outside in the garden when being confined to being at home our skin needs vitamin and sun protection from UV rays. Rain or shine Clinique’s Super Energizer SPF 40  is a great gel formula too although some prefer to use other versions in a lotion based on personal preference as it absorbs allot easier I think. I do love the hints of citrus notes in this product which helps to re-energise the skin for that extra boost to protect your skin against the outdoor elements. This one is great for hydrating tired looking skin with anti fatigue concentrate to protect against UVA/B + IR + Blue light defense in one.

And finally onto my one my other favourites let’s mention fragrance because it’s something I always like to have on and it’s always great to smell good for that final touch of luxury to complete any grooming routine. I think it was Tom Ford who said it’s essential to wear fragrance even in bed and I absolutely agree. That invigorating feeling of scented aroma in a room amongst my bed linen is just amazing I tell you from experience with spaying on fragrance favourites. Even when I travel I’ll do the same before going to bed a spruce on Colonia by Acqua di Parma for its hint of freshness on the skin. Just give these products a try I’d like to see how you get on. A while ago now I took a Day Trip to Hertfordshire outside of London to Welwyn Garden City to visit Country Estate Brocket Hall to see the P1 International Supper Car Club for their luxury Car Show. One weekend me and friend decided to head out of London and explore the home counties as well as look at some of the cool sports cars on show at the event we attended.

One Saturday morning we got the train from Kings Cross to Hertfordhire which was about a 40 minute journey to the event and we managed to arrive just before lunch time and make the day of it exploring the scenic views within the Brocket Hall Estate during the car show.

So, here’s a bit about the car show – P1 International is The Worlds First and Leading Supercar Club founded in 2001 by founder and CEO Michael Breen, P1 pioneered the concept of a private members club offering share access to a fleet of supercars  defining the luxury car rental market. P1 have seventeen years experience in refining the concept as well as continuing to offer it’s discerning members an unrivalled experience with access to a stable of the finest and fatest supercars from Ferrari to Maserati and more.

P1 International is The Worlds First and Leading Supercar Club.

So, here’s what you get. In return for annual membership the club takes care of the cost of depreciation, insurance, servicing and maintenance, leaving the members free to enjoy the cars and the club without the inconvenience and cost of ownership.

Just being here at Brocket Hall in the presence of the magnificent super sports cars reminded me of watching TopGear on television but in reality I got to actually sit inside my dream bucket list of sports car and admire their interiors but at the same time appreciate fine craftsmanship of their engines and aesthetics for real.

We enjoyed a lovely Champagne reception and canapés in the most elegant surroundings of a beautiful Country Estate

Upon arrival to Brocket Hall we enjoyed a lovely Champagne reception and canapés in the most elegant surroundings of beautiful country estate that’s named after the Brocket Family through many generations. So just thought I’d mention a bit of history about the building’s lavish Estate and Acres of land which host a golf course driving range too if you love spot of golf just like me.

 

The best part of it was driving around the grounds in a golf cart so we could admire the scenery surrounding the estate which was a lot of fun in the sunshine late afternoon before making our way back to London.

It was such a thrill  to find out more about the luxury super car rental market and even more so explore the range of Super Cars from Vintage Classics to Modern and Contemporary motor cars and see how the other half live. A day out like this to experience real luxury at it’s finest had to be the highlight of my visit upon visiting Brocket Hall Country Estate.
