WE ENJOYED SUMPTUOUS CANAPES & COCKTAILS BY RON ZACAPA AT THE JIMMY CHOO MEN'S EVENT IN MAYFAIR

It was a delightful evening one cold December but the party atmosphere was very inviting in the warmth and busy as one would expect during the Christmas Party season as I got to admire these exquisite shoes in the beautiful Dover Street boutique. I have always been curious how luxury shoes are made and the fine craftsmanship that goes into creating each style.

It was a pleasure to see the collection showcased at the event in an intimate setting which tempts me to want to covet a pair for my Christmas Wish-list – just a hint there for anyone wondering what to get for my birthday this month and Christmas present. I’ve always received two present’s with my birthday and Christmas being so close together but a pair of Jimmy Choo’s would be amazing don’t you think. But then again knowing me one pair may not be enough as I do love brand new shoes.

When’s it’s time to indulge in new shoes for that all important special occasion Jimmy Choo would be my first choice and I always say have a statement pair of shoes as you never know when that all important event may come up at short notice. With dressing request to the Star’s and Influencers Jimmy Choo shoes are the ideal companion for the Red Carpet without fail as the quality is so well made as the go to for luxury footwear and accessories every man should own to invest in.

It sure is worth the price tag, classic and they look amazing to wear from dressy in between to smart casual there is a style to suit all to make room in every discerning man’s contemporary wardrobe. So don’t be the last one to look sharp at the Christmas Party – be sure to always look exceptionally glamorous no matter the circumstances because trust me it’s worth it.

With Award’s Season just around the corner and fashion week it’s never too early to start thinking about it so it doesn’t hurt to plan ahead for upcoming event’s so don’t forget get to put an alert on your smart phone with so many shoe styles to choose from it must be you’re lucky day to spoil and indulge yourself.

Disclaimer: Thank you so much to Jimmy Choo London and Mark Hix for hosting an elegrant Christmas Cocktail Party. As always all opinions will be my own and I only choose to review brands I would use myself to provide honest feedback on products I love to wear.

PREVIEWING THE NEW BELSTAFF TRAVELOGUE SS 2020 COLLECTION

SPRING SUMMER 2020 COLLECTION

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 1 min read 755 views

Today I went to preview the new Menswear and Womenswear collection during London Fashion Week Men over the weekend for Belstaff Spring Summer 2020 Travelogue in Hoxton Docks East London. I always rather look forward to each season because I admire the contemporary take on the brands history by Belstaff’s Creative Director Lehnhardt-Moore where he captures the imagination of the labels industrial heritage.

For this season the inspiration is drawn from the original archive where travel and exploring remain at the heart of the brands aesthetics hence the self title of the new collection Travelogue.

Belstaff

Fine details in the collection were kept contemporary with use of contrasts such as juxtaposing textures and colours between soft and hard where the contrast provide the essential look for a modern wardrobe.

Signatures pieces that inspired this seasons collection were the sleevless Castmaster cotton fishing jacket in orange from the archive in orange dry waxed cotton vs khaki version retains sleeves of the original and the XL500 Nautical Jacket from the nineteen seventies was re-imagined in Oxford Nylon.

Themes in the collection explore the influence of military is evident in the use of deep English rifle green and the newly introduced camo tech fabric.

Throughout the collection worn in looks are created with the use of slub yarns and pigment dyed fabrics for a vintage feel including pieces in dyed sahara cloth and cotton broadcloth create a military look.

I really liked the luxury fine knits and oiled suede polish up the look, contrast with sun faded pique shirts and sweatshirts for men and women.

Lastly, to finish off the look for the modern man and woman trooper boots in brown leather and canvas, along with a chukka boots with commando sole in suede and stonewashed cross body canvas bags with leather trims give edge to the collection this spring summer 2020 collection.

BELSTAFF MARKS THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ICONIC TRIAL MASTER JACKET DURING LFW MEN’S AW 2018

By Posted on 0 Comments 1 min read 474 views

London Fashion Week Men’s this season celebrates a poignant moment in the British labels history to mark the 70th Anniversary of the iconic Trial Master Jacket.

Belstaff’s self titled collection Made In The UK presents a unisex clothing range deeply rooted in the 100th year history of innovation and legacy of protection for adventure.

The Autumn Winter 2018 collection draws inspiration from the English Subcultures through exploration of the Trial Master’s history from a curated selection of the original archive through innovations in fabrics, production and design aesthetic portraying a bygone era when they were launched.

This iconic four pocket Trial Master Jacket was originally designed for protection against harsh weather conditions during the Scottish Six Day’s Trials showcases colour, distinct decorative pins and badges that depict the pride of previous generations.

A sense of youth bears resemblance to referencing the 1950’s from Mod’s, Rocker’s, and Punk era that sought freedom of expression through music and fashion with intergenerational popular culture clashes.

Belstaff since 1924 has been the supplier of protective clothing for generations of pioneers which now includes its discerning clientele that thrives on modern day spirit of adventure.

Following on from the presentation Belstaff hosted a private event with Liberty of London to celebrate the new Origins Collection presenting the latest in technology and new innovative fabrics such as ultra stretch lightweight nylon and tri layer nylon as functional weather proof and high performance materials.

The exclusive partnership allows you to purchase the limited number of iconic 1960’s and 1970’s vintage jackets, especially chosen from the British Designers Archive.

The main classic signature pieces inspired by Belstaff’s archive revived for a fashion comeback

Fashion Photographer Alistair Guy was also involved in contributing to the exhibition by bringing both collaborators together to form the unique curated looks. The 10 restored jackets are now live on Vestiaire Collective and available to purchase which feature the iconic wax cotton trial master jackets from the Belstaff archive.

The main purpose for the collaboration was to provide a global community of style savvy clientele who admire rare and classic investments such as vintage cars, watches and custom motorcycles access to Belstaffs Archive and share a part of the brands history.

For both counterparts it was about bringing together a style conscious community to purchase vintage items and introduce Belstaff to a new audience who appreciate fine craftsmanship and long lasting heritage.

And, I would absolutely agree, as this fit’s in line with my style to mix investment pieces, with different brands including vintage and items at various price points. I do love the Belstaff bags though for their selection of fashion forward styles are both classic and contemporary.

Special Thanks again to Belstaff, Vestiaire Collective, Alistair Guy and Karla Otto for hosting the most amazing party! and it was a pleasure to be a part of it.

This moment in time, I happen to be thinking about upcoming Wedding invitation in the diary to social events on the British Sporting Calendar so Chester Barrie would be a great place to start feeling inspired for the summer months ahead.  I’m in the mood for a bit of tennis too given by the looks of the models posing with old school tennis rackets summer is here to stay. The range would be perfect for watching the Boodles Tennis or even Wimbledon would be the ideal summer situation.

In case you’re wondering what you should wear it’s best to be overdressed than under-dressed as my wedding guest invite does not specifically state the official dress code. So, which leaves me to get clued up on dress codes before the events I have secured invites to this summer.

For inspiration, I have a few options in mind to ensure you nail that look, so take style cues from Chester Barrie on how to look your best will ensure you suit up sharp on the day. Always assume finding the perfect suit is vital as the Chester Barrie collection comes in a range of tailored fits and classic styles which are contemporary to make the right impression anywhere.I hope this post have been somewhat helpful to provide you with inspiration to spruce up your wedding attire, whether you’re the groom or the guest.
