The Royal Exchange was the perfect location to culminate a night of celebrating art and creativity being the much anticipated launch event held in August.
The Dubel Prize was named in honour after it’s Founder Damien Alexander Dubel an entrepreneur known for his business ventures Mr Red Fox, Bella Mayford and Disrupt Events.
ABOUT THE DUBEL ART PRIZE
Given the obstacles faced by the performing arts in recent years, with multiple lockdowns, social restrictions, and health constraints, the Dubel Prize aims to highlight exceptionally talented artist. Furthermore the aim is to provide support and assistance to the selected artist throughout the year and beyond.
It was so exciting to see everyone dressed up for this special occasion where the event was filled with movers and shakers in the Art World where lovely guest included the who’s who of London’s social media elite to industry veterans.
The Dubel Prize Celebrates 12 Emerging Artist
Also, it was a great opportunity to put my knowledge of fine art to the test and as it happens I attended Art College for Fashion school, so History of Art and Fashion was a great pre-requisite for starting an intelligent conversation.
Being my first time at the Royal Exchange, the atmosphere was very grand indeed and perfectly set the scene for an elegant evening of networking with like minded individuals while enjoying the architecture and 450 years of history behind the building itself was intriguing.
Dubel Prize Emerging Artist of the Year in Aid of Centre Point
During an enjoyable soiree guest were graced by the presence of an esteemed panel of judges consisting of curators, critics, authors, and industry experts from the UK and beyond chose the emerging artist of the year.
Radio host and TV presenter Kemi Rogers took to the stage to present the evenings live entertainment from the English electronic rock band the Big Pink that warmed up the lively crowd ready to party into the early hours.
The Dubel Prize is awarded to recognise emerging British artist who primarily work either within Britain or on an international scale
After the glamour of the Awards Ceremony was over I was certain of anticipating high expectations for a fantastic time at the After Party held at The Libertine Club next door, where guest celebrated in style with live music and a DJ, all the way until 3am which was enjoyed by everyone.

Finally my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes bestowed upon the distinguished 12 finalist, whose artistic endeavours will be exhibited over the forthcoming year.
