Oui je t’aime Pari, a Bonjour from me in Paris for Couture Fashion Week, it’s my first time during the shows in the city so excited to see how it compares to London. It’s all about the morning cuisine and nothing does it better than starting your day with fancy coffee and croissants and who can forget the fois gras so you feel right at home in Paris. The last time I was here it was for a Christmas shopping trip for a long weekend break, but this time Fashion Week is a real treat for me.

DAY 1

I have arrived yesterday in Paris ready for the Rani Zakhem Couture show today! The plane journey from London Gatwick to Charles de Gaulle Airport was a short flight and you know Paris was even more beautiful once you get there, If you ever get to visit in Summer, there is so much culture to immerse yourself in the Parisian Chic vibes of this cosmopolitan city. All dressed up in a smart casual outfit I made my way to the shows of Paris Couture Fashion Week with an UBERX Luxury Car courtesy of the UBER Taxi App in France.

Highlights of the International Menswear Collections at Camera Milano Moda Uomo Autuno Inverno 2020

Following on from London Fashion Week Men’s all focus will be on Milan over the next few days as Fashion Houses reveal their new season’s collections for Fall Winter 2020. Camera Moda the official event organiser for Milano Moda Uomo Fashion Week returns this season with a jam packed schedule of catwalk shows, presentations and events to celebrate Men’s Fashion Week with style and flair.

The thrilling line up on the fashion week schedule has both established designers as well as emerging talent, even more reason to secure your spot on the FROW for a close up of this seasons key trends.

DUOMO Milano – Italy. It was honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever set eyes on with a long climb to the roof before lunch then heading to a catwalk show. Great weather too! Surprising for January.

We visited the Designer Showrooms Milan – one of our favourites from Men’s Fashion Week. I spoke with the Designer Matteo Bigliardi and told me how they are going for a new way of doing Tuxedos. I’ve never seen anything like it I thought it was excellent. Everything was so high quality and well made. I loved the coordinating sets and tried on one of the comfiest coats ever too.

When I first heard that the Italian Fashion Label was hosting a private event during London Fashion Week I knew it was going to be a great party to kick off the start of fashion week.  Having attended the very first Iceberg Catwalk show in London since it made a comeback it was definitely one of those labels to watch. Also, I’m such a big fan of their Street Wear since the label was taken over at the helm from Designer James Long their newly appointed creative director from the UK.  On Friday 13th Yes!! – I know what most were thinking in case anyone is superstitious it happened to be my lucky day as they had food catering from my favourite Meat Liquor Restaurant – just trying their burgers was delicious as I was feeling very hungry by 6pm while out and about accompanied by Aperol Spritz drinks served throughout the evening.  My outfit staple to the party yesterday evening was my signature leather jacket from Iceberg worn with a white t-shirt from Boohoo Man and Skinny Jeans with a pair of desert boots as it’s officially autumn season.  The Iceberg event was hosted at the  18montrose store in Kings Cross featuring DJ set’s from Tommy Gold, Jordss and Lifestyle Donald who entertained the crowd last night

ICEBERG ITALY GETS READY FOR ITS TAKE OVER AT LONDON FASHION WEEK MEN’S

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 1min read1691 views

So what do we know so far, Iceberg is a cult streetwear label from Milan and has been going strong since 1974 where the Italian Fashion House is known for it’s DNA of vibrant colour together with Long’s remix of iconic technical knits in casual silhouettes.

By looking at the London Fashion Week Men’s schedule it was one of the most highly anticipated shows to mark the start of Men’s Fashion Week and definitely worth waiting for.

London is known for its sartorial elegance and tailoring the focus was on street wear and sport luxe this season that dominated the Men’s Catwalk this week.

The inspiration for Iceberg’s SS 2019 collection made references to the designer’s Italian love of F1 where dance meets football London attitude that was reflected in the energy of the show. Theme’s in the collection explored the past with a vision of the future which emphasized the importance of equality that everyone is part of a winning team.

Long’s signature garment’s included quirky deep fried glitched graphics are hand drawn or collage interpretations on Peanuts, Joe Cool, and tone on tone logo’s which came down the runway. A playful use of texture in the way triple printed denim looks sparkle along with plastic-coated gloss knit Iceberg logo’s dazzle opponents off the sport arena.

Pieces that stood out for me in the Iceberg collection were versatile tailored jackets with snap fastenings for both menswear and womenswear worn over a classic white separates’ with hidden self colour logo woven into the fabric. Details such as Warhol flowers adorn across satins, 3D knit’s and football shirts that affiliate you with the fashion capitals of the world.

After the show, I hailed a cab to make my way over to the Kirk Original’s party at the Private White Store as we drove by the Strand I manage to get a glimpse of the Iceberg Model Squad in a parade as they passed by Somerset House, Trafalgar Square and ending at Piccadilly. It certainly stopped London Traffic by surprise as the high energy sports drinks colours of blue, green, yellow, pink and red shout Viva Italia as the Models walked straight off the catwalk onto London’s street’s. What a great PR Stunt during London Fashion Week Men’s that represented the new millennial generation of fashionista’s and revival of the label’s signature style.

LONDON FASHION WEEK MEN’S STYLE DIARY: WHAT I WORE TO JOHN SMEDLEY SS 18 SHOW

By Posted on 0 Comments Location: 2min read985 views

What a lovely day it is today to watch a Fashion Show outdoors in the open air St James location on Jermyn Street and really looking forward to watch the John Smedley Menswear collection preview. Today’s venue is a unique installation outside from the usual indoor venue set up – something different this season is always a good thing thing to experience a change of scenery and atmosphere.

This season I think I was well prepared and had a fair idea what I was going to wear for Day 2 at London Fashion Week Men’s. Let’s start with a pair of sunglasses as these always come in handy if you want to conceal those tired looking eyes from the night before. Get my point. Anyway, I had just made my way into town with plenty of time to have a slight snack and a caramel latte as I cant stress enough that you must eat because you’ll need all the energy you can get during a long day.

London Fashion Week Style

With glorious summer weather again today it seemed appropriate to dress in a white t-shirt again and dark skinny jeans again. I throw on my signature light leather jacket and hey presto the look created, is it more ‘James Dean or Jason Priestly from Beverly Hills 90210. I felt great in it ‘Carpe Diem’ I think the photo speaks for itself with some side action for the cameras is my favourite Street Style shot would you say. What do you think of this look – it’s perfect to dash in between the shows and its really comfortable but looks understated with just one signature item that’s the leather jacket is all you need to dress up a semi casual outfit.
